    $18.98
    Availability:In Stock
90 Points! The Zinfandel-based 2016 Román is plump, juicy and forward. Succulent red cherry, plum, spice and leather are all propped up by bright acids. Dollops of Petite Sirah and Barbera round out the blend. This is a fabulous value from Marietta. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media Learn More
  2. Marietta Zinfandel Alexander Valley Estate Grown Angeli 2016
    JD93
    VM92
    $29.98
    Availability:In Stock
93 Points! The 2016 Zinfandel Angeli (96% Zinfandel, 2% Syrah, and 2% Petite Sirah) comes from Alexander Valley in the northern part of California. Its plum/purple color is followed by a rockingly good bouquet of spiced plums, cedar, sandalwood, and exotic spice. Medium to full-bodied, focused, elegant and seamless, with a silky texture, it's very much in the style of the 2016 vintage. While already hard to resist, it should keep for 6-7 years. It's a great value. - Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com Learn More

    VM93

Black cherry, sage, lavender, menthol and licorice give the wine striking savory nuance to play off the dark Cabernet Sauvignon fruit. More than anything else, though, the Armé is a superb value in California Cabernet. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media Learn More

  5. Vieux Chateau Certan Pomerol 2018 Pre-Arrival
    WE98-100
    DEC99
    JD96-98
    JS99-100
    WA97-100
    VM94-97
    $294.98

97-100 Points! The 2018 Vieux Château Certan is a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. Yields were 40 hectoliters per hectare. The wine has a pH of 3.78, 14.4% alcohol and an IPT (total polyphenol index) of 77. Medium to deep garnet-purple-it has a very vibrant color-it drifts effortlessly out of the glass with wonderfully intense, beautifully delineated scents of red roses, black raspberries, kirsch and Darjeeling tea before the powerful, profound black fruits kick in: baked plums, wild blueberries, molten licorice and mulberries with touches of cigar box, cinnamon stick, tapenade and truffles. Full-bodied, rich, densely packed and revealing layer upon layer of red and black fruits with an incredible array of floral and spicy sparks, it has a high level of super ripe, incredibly fine, velvety soft tannins and fantastic freshness (not just from acid but from bright, crunchy fruit). It finishes very long, marvelously layered and with such jaw-dropping brightness from the fruit, the end is almost electric. Incredible. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

99-100 Points! This is a significant VCC with masses of fruit and juicy tannins. It's fresh, but impresses you with the rich and powerful fruit. A tower of a wine. Incredible depth and density. Thick and muscular. It is 30 per cent cabernet franc, the rest merlot. - James Suckling, jamessuckling.com

  8. Berthoumieu Madiran Cuvee Charles de Batz 2014
    $18.98
    Availability:In Stock
Importer notes: The wine is composed of 90% Tannatwith 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from vines that are at least 50 years old. The soil in these vineyards is clay and limestone with some round stones at the surface. After being completely destemmed, the Cabernet and Tannat are fermented separately in cement tanks. During this time, a bit of micro-oxygénation or microboullage takes place. The wine then goes into oak (60%) in an underground cellar where it also undergoes malolacticfermentation. After twelve months in wood, it is blended and bottled after a very light filtration. Learn More
  9. Andre Bonhomme Viré-Clessé Vieilles Vignes 2017
    $24.98
    Availability:In Stock
Consistently one of THE top values in white Burgundy. From Importer Charles Neal: As its name suggests, this comes from vines that have an average age of 80 years. The yield is slightly lower than the other cuvées (35 to 40 hl/ha) giving it slightly more concentration, elegance and aromatic complexity. Like the Cuvée Spéciale, part is aged in stainless-steel and the other part in oak before being blended together and aged for another year in larger barrels. Learn More

92-93 Points! Limpid violet. Ripe, spice- and smoke-tinged black raspberry, cola and a hint of musky flowers on the deeply perfumed, expansive nose. Juicy red and dark berry liqueur flavors are sharpened by a spike of smoky minerality and pick up an allspice nuance with aeration. Concentrated as well as lively and focused, with no rough edges. A sexy floral quality emerges on the energetic, spice-laced finish, where well-knit tannins add shape and gentle grip. - Josh Raynolds, Vinous Media Learn More

  13. Mike and Molly Hendry Zinfandel RW Moore Vineyard Napa Valley 2016
    $34.98
    Availability:In Stock
This is a bigger, badder Moore! Mike Hendry almost apologized for its intensity when we met and tasted with him. These 111-year-odl vines really brought their A Game in 2016, enthralling, spicy, peppery, brambly Napa Valley Zin, of which there are less and less every year. A legend. Learn More
  14. Hendry Zinfandel Blocks 7 & 22 Napa Valley 2015
    $28.98
    Availability:In Stock
Winery notes: One of the two wines George Hendry made in his very first offering of a few hundred cases back in 1992 was from Block 7, planted in 1975. It remains the foundation of one of our flagship wines. Both block 7 and 22 are located on benchlands west of the town of Napa. The nine acres are between 230 and 300 feet above sea level and have thin, stony Boomer series soils. The maritime climate is moderated by morning fog and strong afternoon breezes from San Pablo Bay. Block 7 was planted forty-three years ago in 1975 to clone 2 Zinfandel. Block 22 was planted twenty-three years ago, in 1995, also to clone 2. The vines are spaced 8’ x 10’, cordon trained and spur-pruned. A three-wire trellis system supports the cordon and the canopy. Learn More
  15. Hendry Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley HRW 2016
    $21.98
    Availability:In Stock
Winery notes: All of the grapes for the HRW series wines come from our 114-acre Napa Valley vineyard. The average production in our Cabernet blocks is between 1.5 and 2.5 tons per acre. Most of the vines on the Hendry ranch grow on thin stony soil between 200 and 300 feet above sea level. Morning fog and strong afternoon breezes from San Pablo Bay (the northern end of the San Francisco Bay) moderate the climate. The Cabernet vines are spaced 7’ x 5’, cordon trained and spur pruned. The clones are U.C. Davis 4, 7 and 15, grafted to St. George roots. A seven-foot vertical trellis system supports the cordon and the canopy. The 2016 HRW Cabernet Sauvignon is aged for 18 months in French Oak barrels, 10% of which were new. The remaining barrels were one and two-year-old barrels used in our Cabernet program. Learn More
  16. Von Winning Riesling GG Ungeheuer 2017
    DEC97
    $49.98
    Availability:In Stock
97 Points! There are few parts of Germany warmer than Pfalz, formerly a tobacco-growing zone where the almond trees flower, and this generous yet delicate Riesling sums up its appeal. The colour is mid-to full-gold with enticing scents of juicy peach and juicy oranges too, of sweet talc, of white chocolate and a little lurking spice. On the palate it is round, warm, tender and full yet freshened by a sense of incipient stoniness in its textures as well as by the giving acidity which underscores the juiciness of its fruits. It's so delicious now this will be hard to stow away in the cellar for long, but there will be rewards if you can manage it. Drink 2019-2025 - Decanter Magazine World Wine Awards Learn More

Low in alcohol (11%), this is the ideal summer picnic sparkler and is very food friendly. Learn More
