Roero “Anime” is harvested from 100-year-old Nebbiolo vines (2026) planted on a southwest exposure on extremely steep calcareous sandy and clay soils at 320 meters of altitude.
Learn MoreAnime is softly destemmed using an Oscillys destemmer and fermented with daily pump-overs, followed by continued maceration under submerged cap at the end of fermentation. It is then aged for 12 months in large oak casks and tonneaux, followed by 6 months in concrete, and is bottled without fining or filtration.
