Apricot, chamomile, dried flowers, mint and a kiss of tangerine peel are beautifully amplified in the glass. Bottling without filtration results in a wine that is a bit cloudy relative to most commercial Sauvignon Blancs. That should be of no concern to consumers. The 2023 is a total knockout. Dominated by ripe cherries, it still has some of the herbal streaks found in the 2022 but fewer of them, morphing them into attractive tomato or tobacco-leaf nuances. Son Scot now continues the tradition, blending a mix of primarily Zinfandel, Syrah, and Petite Sirah with smaller amounts of Barbera, Grenache, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot with the goal of being delicious.
