A fantastic perfectly aged chateau-direct wine from one of the greatest vintages ever on Bordeaux's Left Bank! This wine, though fully mature, still retains a youthful vigor and delivers a chewy, medium-bodied, classic older Bordeaux drinking experience at a very resonable price. Mostly Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend. We recommend 20-30 minutes of air before serving...Enjoy!

The bold, rich 1990 has a bouquet similar to the 1989, with its sweet, forward, leathery, spicy, toffee, caramel, and berry-scented nose. There is plump, ripe fruit, medium body, fine flesh, and a long finish. - Robert Parker, robertparker.com

95 Points! The 1990 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru is one of the highlights of the era. It has a disarmingly gorgeous nose with brambly red fruit, a touch of peppermint and sage, all exquisitely defined and gaining cohesion with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a fine bead of acidity, glistening with vivacity and energy. Few 1990 Côte de Nuits have this sense of tension and the delineation on the finish is brilliant. Superb. - Neal Martin, Vinous Media, Jan 2020

96 Points! The 1990 La Mission Haut-Brion is drinking brilliantly right now. Revealing aromas of truffles, spices, mocha, prune and a touch of tobacco, it’s beautifully balanced, satiny and sensual, with incredible concentration and a long, delicate finish. It’s a very beautiful 1990 with all the characteristics of this estate: finesse and elegance. I recommend drinking it now and until 2040. - Yohan Castaing, robertparker.com

96 Points! Velvety tannins, perfumed floral nose, opening to cedar, mint leaf, red cherry puree, all expanding outwards through the palate, with finely boned tannins adding a touch of control. Plenty of tertiary notes of truffles, campfire smoke and saffron-laced spices, but the fruit is still very much in tact. As it opens further you get intense aromatics of violet and exotic spices. You could sit with this for hours, just enjoying how finessed Cabernet Sauvignon can become with age - and how the clay that underpins the gravels on so much of Palmer's vineyard has helped keep freshness. Exceptional, and it has been delivering at this level for at least a decade. - Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux, September 2021

95 Points! The 1990 Palmer has long been one of my favorite vintages; at 31 years of age, it is still utterly sublime. It opens wonderfully in the glass with blackberry, forest floor, crushed iris petals and just a touch of dried blood. You would actually think that this comes from a cooler growing season. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins. This has evolved since I last tasted it, mellowed and lost some of its plumpness, becoming more linear and almost reserved towards the finish. There's a touch of green bell pepper on the aftertaste. Wonderful. - Neal Martin, Vinous, March 2022

94 Points! Concentrated. Medium-ruby color, with ripe plum, cigar tobacco and smoke aromas. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and a long finish. Still closed, almost clumsy. Give it time.--1990 Bordeaux retrospective, 2000. - Wine Spectator

This is classic claret at its best…and what I mean by claret is what the distinguished British talk about when they refer to perfectly aged claret. After 32 years in bottle, this wine is drinking brilliantly and has matured nicely. This fully matured Bordeaux is still dark in color with no light edges. It is textbook Claret and is medium body in texture with a very floral, sweet nose of plums, currants, white flowers, cedar, and mineral. Low in acidity, with light and supple tannin, this is a classic Bordeaux that is all charm and finesse.
