96+ Points! The vineyard closest to the great Harlan Estate is Vecina, situated in the western foothills on the Oakville Crossroad overlooking the valley. From this 11-acre site, the 2003 Vecina comes closest in style to Harlan Estate, appearing like a hypothetical blend of a St. Estephe and Pauillac. A formidable wine, it reveals plenty of new saddle leather, creme de cassis, scorched earth and volcanic-like characteristics in addition to notes of blackberries, Chinese black tea and graphite. 100 Points! The perfect 2013 Vecina offers up notes of pen ink, scorched earth, espresso, blackcurrant liqueur and blackberries. It is a fabulously great wine, with supple, well-integrated tannin, decent acidity, and a skyscraper-like mouthfeel, with extraordinary purity and richness. 98+ Points! The 2014 Vecina displays a deep garnet-purple color and has a broody, baked blueberries, cassis and anise-laced nose with suggestions of garrigue, dusty earth and bay leaves. Full-bodied, rich, spicy and powerful in the mouth, it offers a lot of latent layers and promises great, great things to come with an incredibly long, layered finish. 100 Points! Also pure perfection in a glass, the 2015 Vecina comes from an east-facing site located not far from the Harlan Estate. It was previously a terraced vineyard but was replanted when they opted to remove the terraces 7-8 years ago. Totally thrilling notes of crème de cassis, lead pencil, barbecue, white chocolate, and spring flower notes all flow to a full-bodied, powerful wine that has building tannins, no sensation of weight, hints of background oak, and incredible intensity and length. 97 Points! Vecina vineyard is located in the western foothills of Oakville, just to the southeast of the winery (up on Oakville Grade). Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Vecina needs a little coaxing to reveal notes of black currants, blackberries and blueberry compote with hints of dusty soil, cinnamon stick and fallen leaves. Slightly more structured than the other Bond 2017s, it has a rock-solid backbone of firm, grainy tannins and bold freshness supporting the muscular black and blue fruit flavors, finishing long and earthy. Domaine de I’R runs along the picturesque Vienne river in the region of Chinon, the heart of Cabernet Franc country. Founded in 2007 by Frédéric Sigonneau, the young winery quickly climbed the ranks to become a top producer of Cabernet Franc. The popularity of his wines is no surprise, as the estate has raised the bar for what Carnet Franc can offer through its sincere attention to taste and quality. The vineyard is managed as naturally as possible, working in harmony with the natural elements to produce a red wine with exceptional flavor and utmost purity. Throughout the entire winemaking process, there are no compromises, and the wines undergo frequent tastings during vinification. Healthy grapes are fermented in raw cement tanks, the porosity of which allows for a smooth, controlled, and gradual fermentation producing an incredibly rich and flavorful red wine.

Rolle, Sauvignon, Grenache Blanc, Clairette. Founded on organic farming principles, Domaine de la Mongestine stands apart as a true rarity in Coteaux d’Aix en Provence, a region known for mass-produced and standardized wines. Rows are planted on clay and limestone soils of some of the highest North facing slopes in the appellation, reaching up to 450 meters. The nutritious soils allow for a longer maturation process that preserves the freshness of the grapes and their acidity. The vineyard is further breaking the mold for Provence winemaking as it transitions to biodynamic viticulture, producing its wines with the least intervention possible and allowing natural processes to extract the fullness of the terroir. Aging takes place in inert tanks and amphora (traditional clay containers), where micro-oxygenation results in a fresh and fruit-forward white wine.

This wine is a rare gem, made from a single varietal of Carignan Blanc grapes macerated for 3 weeks in concrete then aged for 1 year in foudre. It combines toasty notes of cider with stone fruit and herbs, and is best enjoyed with luscious, creamy, and nutty dishes.

94 Points! The 2020 Fara Barton, Boniperti’s top wine, is terrific. Dark and layered, the 2020 offers up tons of Nebbiolo character. Macerated dark cherry, menthol, licorice, spice and a host of balsamic inflections build in the glass. The 2020 spent 30 days on the skins and matured for 14 months in 22HL casks. Based on 75% Grenache and the rest a mix of varieties, the 2023 Châteauneuf Du Pape was vinified with 40% stems and brought up in foudre and cuve as well as a small percentage in demi-muids. Ripe, round, and sexy on the palate, with medium body, it offers ripe kirsch and black cherries intermixed with spice and peppery garrigue nuances. It's balanced with soft tannins and shows the forward style of the vintage. It will drink beautifully over the coming 10-12 years.  - Jeb Dunnuck

This bottling is made up of 100% Muscat of Alexandria from multiple old mountainside vineyards located in the Valley of the Lagares, Almáchar, of the Málaga DO where the inclinations are up to 70°.

The result is pure liquid joy, floral, bright, vivid, sparkling (duh), with fresh tropical fruit aromatics and a shocking opulence on the palate balanced by bright acidity. Fruity but not blatantly sweet, rather refreshing actually, the alcohol here is a moderate 10.8%, giving it a more serious air than its Asti brethren, more like a gorgeous Clairette de Die for all you French wine nerds.

92 Points! The 2015 Grand Cru Furstentum Pinot Gris is clear and discreet yet deep and, in a subtle ways, intense on the nose that intermingles iodine notes with ripe and elegant seed fruit aromas. Fresh and lively on the palate, this is a round and juicy Pinot Gris with an uplifting savoriness and salinity on the finely grippy and persistent finish. 96 Points! The 2019 Riesling Schoenenbourg Grand Cru is from a fully south-facing, mid-slope parcel in the center of Schoenenbourg. The vines are 30 to 60 years old. The soil is marl with high gypsum content, partially laced with Triassic sandstone and limestone. Apricot skin and crushed yarrow give a savory first notion on the nose. On the palate, juicy plum takes over, but that textural sense of apricot skin remains, along with a herbal smoothness that is almost creamy and deeply salty amidst its fruitiness. Surprisingly, this wine manages to hide 12 g/L of residual sweetness in its beautiful depth of fruit, in its smooth, gentle, buffered flow, backed by textural finesse.
