93 Points! Based on 80% Roussanne and 20% Clairette, the 2022 Ventoux Quintessence Blanc is raised in a mix of demi-muids and barrels, with a tiny portion being new. It has a beautiful nose of ripe orchard fruits (pear, sliced apples) as well as subtle white flowers and chalky minerality. Medium-bodied and concentrated, with a beautiful spine of acidity, it's a gorgeous white from this team that will shine on the dinner table. - Jeb Dunnuck

From the importer: Cinsault is one of those overlooked grapes most usually consigned to oblivion as rosé. In the skilled hands of the Jourdans, however, it proves to be a wine of irresistible charm. The color is light, to be sure, but the heady strawberry scent is beguiling and the 40 year-old vines lend to the palate a startling intensity of sweet fruit flavour, cloaked in the gentlest imaginable veil of silk.

90 Points! The 2022 Cinsault Bechthold Vineyard comes from the oldest Cinsault vines in existence, planted in 1886. It has a pale ruby color and bright aromas of red cherry, cranberry, allspice and autumnal hints of leaves and earth. The light-bodied palate is soft and juicy with generous, crunchy fruit and a satisfying, spicy finish. - Erin Brooks, robertparker.com

93 Points! The 2022 Cinsault is a delight. Bright and effusive, the 2022 is superb. Crushed flowers, red/purplish fruit, spice and lavender are all beautifully lifted. This mid-weight, deceptively light-bodied wine is superb. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

Made from 100% Roussanne brought up in neutral puncheons, the 2018 Roussanne Stolpman Vineyards reveals a medium gold color as well as classic notes of poached orchard fruits, brioche, crushed rocks, white flowers, licorice, and toasted bread. Pure, medium to full-bodied, and brilliantly layered, it's another rich, textured white from this estate that stays balanced, light on its feet, and fresh. Bravo. - Jeb Dunnuck

- Pedro Parra Cinsault Itata Valley Trane 2018WA93$34.98Availability:In Stock93 Points! Pedro Parra considers John Coltrane an innovator and creative jazz musician, after whom he named the 2018 Trane, a single-vineyard Cinsault from a plot of highly decomposed granite soils. It fermented in concrete with indigenous yeasts and some 30% full clusters and matured in 1,500-liter oak vats for 11 months. It's extremely chalky and perhaps a little rounder and gentler compared with its siblings. It has a little more concentration and clout, but at the same time, it doesn't reach the elegance of the other two. There are some similitudes here, because they all come from granite soils that mark all of the wines very much. - Luis Gutierrez, robertparker.com Learn MoreHURRY, ONLY 1 LEFT!
- Stolpman Vineyards Roussanne L'Avion 2020WA97$41.98 As low as $37.78Availability:Out of Stock
97 Points! Stolpman's white tête de cuvée, L'Avion, is spectacular this vintage. It is a barrel selection of the best Roussanne and contains 7% Chardonnay. These old vines are farmed immaculately: on one visit to Stolpman, I watched the full-time crew painstakingly turning clusters by hand to expose greener grapes to the sun—they hang well into November. "By then, it's the only thing left on the vine," Pete Stolpman says. "So we send in our crew to turn clusters and harvest in several passes. Only the tanned Roussanne grapes have enough flavor concentration." The 2020 L'Avion has a deep golden color and compelling scents of baked apricot and nectarine, honeycomb, pie crust and ginger. The full-bodied palate is dry, weighty and complex, with a mouth-coating texture, refreshing acidity and exotic herbal streaks that go on and on long after the wine is gone. It's a serious white that's ideal for the table or the cellar, and it's one of the stars of the 2020 vintage. - Erin Brooks, robertparker.com
