  1. Penfolds Cabernet Sauvignon Max's South Australia 2016
    JD90
    JS91
    $17.98
    Availability:In Stock
91 Points! Purple berries and blackcurrants. There’s attractive freshness with licorice, some leafy nuances and roasting herbs. Really nice and fleshy uptake on entry. Full at the middle with gently creeping tannins with handy grip, which release plenty of flavor at the finish. - JamesSuckling.com Learn More
  2. Marietta Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Grown Armé 2016
    VM93
    $19.98
    Availability:In Stock
93 Points! The 2016 Armé is another superb wine in the middle tier of the Marietta range. Fresh, savory and super-expressive, the Armé has a lot going on. Black cherry, sage, lavender, menthol and licorice give the wine striking savory nuance to play off the dark Cabernet Sauvignon fruit. More than anything else, though, the Armé is a superb value in California Cabernet. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media Learn More
  3. Hendry Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley HRW 2016
    $21.98
    Availability:In Stock
Winery notes: All of the grapes for the HRW series wines come from our 114-acre Napa Valley vineyard. The average production in our Cabernet blocks is between 1.5 and 2.5 tons per acre. Most of the vines on the Hendry ranch grow on thin stony soil between 200 and 300 feet above sea level. Morning fog and strong afternoon breezes from San Pablo Bay (the northern end of the San Francisco Bay) moderate the climate. The Cabernet vines are spaced 7’ x 5’, cordon trained and spur pruned. The clones are U.C. Davis 4, 7 and 15, grafted to St. George roots. A seven-foot vertical trellis system supports the cordon and the canopy. The 2016 HRW Cabernet Sauvignon is aged for 18 months in French Oak barrels, 10% of which were new. The remaining barrels were one and two-year-old barrels used in our Cabernet program. Learn More

    VM93
    $219.98
    Availability:In Stock
93 Points! The 1998 Solaia is an excellent choice for drinking now and over the next handful of years. Not a blockbuster, the 1998 has developed nicely, but also appears to have limited upside potential from here. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media 2013 Learn More

  10. Dunn Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain 2001 Magnum 1.5L (Cracked Wax Capsule)
    VM97
    $369.98
    Availability:In Stock
97 Points! Dark red with ruby highlights; appeared to grow darker with air. Deep aromas of plum, mocha, iodine, loam, licorice, brown spices and graphite, accented by a hint of black pepper. Wonderfully juicy and light on its feet, conveying intriguing dark fruit, spice and saline mineral intensity and outstanding thrust. This wonderfully penetrating wine is still a baby. Finishes with firm but suave tannins and outstanding slowly building length. This wonderfully complete, classy wine boasts powerful structure and strong salinity and actually went into a shell in the glass. It should still be held for several years and it should go on for decades. (13.1% alcohol) - Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Media Learn More
  11. Dunn Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain 1991
    VM96
    $199.98
    Availability:In Stock
96 Points! Bright, deep red-ruby. Wonderfully mellow and complex on the nose, offering everything from fresh dark fruits to chocolate, red licorice, flowers and graphite minerality. Pure liquid silk in the mouth; at once sharply delineated and edge-free thanks to superb harmonious acidity, possessing a wonderfully tight core of juicy fruit. This very dry, classic Howell Mountain Cabernet finishes with serious dusty but sweet tannins and will still improve. Stunning wine. (13% alcohol) - Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Media 2018 Learn More
  12. Dunn Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain 1990
    VM92+
    $199.98
    Availability:In Stock
92+ Points! Good dark red. Brooding aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, spices, licorice, menthol and chocolate, plus a hint of game. Plush and fine-grained but a bit medicinal and still clenched, with its black cherry and menthol flavors continuing the rather medicinal theme. Very rich and full in the mouth but distinctly savory and a bit unyielding. Finishes with mounting tannins that initially detract from the wine's sweetness. But the wine grew sappier with air and I raised my score. Will this rather powerful vintage loosen up further and show more personality? It still has years to go. (13% alcohol) - Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Media 2018 Learn More
  13. Dominus Estate Napa Valley 1991
    WA99
    $299.98
    Availability:In Stock
99 Points! As for the 1991, 6,500 cases were produced of this potentially perfect wine. While this vintage of Dominus contains no Merlot in the blend, every time I taste it I am reminded of a great vintage of Petrus such as 1982, 1989 or 1990. Although different, the 1991 Dominus possesses extraordinary intensity, remarkable opulence, and amazing fruit extraction, all welded to a full-bodied structure. The wine's sensational purity and inner-core of depth must be tasted to be believed. The 1991 will be approachable young because of its sweet tannin, yet it exhibits the potential to last for 25 years. Perhaps 1994 will rival it, but for now, the 1991 is unquestionably the greatest Dominus, as well as a potential legend in the making. - Robert Parker, robertparker.com 1995 Learn More
  14. Quintessa Proprietary Red Wine Napa Valley 2016
    WA97+
    $174.98
    Availability:Out of Stock
97+ Points! The 2016 Proprietary Red Wine is blended of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot and 1% Carménère, with all fruit coming from the Quintessa estate, and it aged for 20 months in 73% new French oak. Very deep purple-black in color, it comes bounding out of the glass like a pedigree pup with exuberant notions of crème de cassis, warm blueberries and black cherries with hints of redcurrants, kirsch, candied violets, crushed rocks, cigar box and fallen leaves plus a waft of truffles. Full, rich and beautifully laced with layers of floral notes and fragrant earth, the profound black and blue fruits build slowly in the mouth, achieving great energy and depth with a beautiful velvety frame, finishing long and perfumed. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, robertparker.com Learn More
  15. Grattamacco Bolgheri Superiore L'Alberello 2015
    JS93-94
    WA95
    $64.98
    Availability:In Stock
95 Points! Grattamacco claims the distinction of having planted the first head-trained alberello vineyard in the Bolgheri area, in the 1970s, and its fruit has produced a long line of wines rated 90+. The 2015 Bolgheri Superiore l'Alberello is among the best I have sampled. The wine opens to harmonious notes of smoke and tar and shows elegant mineral definition with sweet oak spice and lots of rich dark fruit at its core. The blend is 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot.” - Monica Larner, robertparker.com Learn More
  16. Long Shadows Vintners Pirouette Blend Columbia Valley 2016
    JD97
    $59.98
    Availability:In Stock
97 Points! The 2016 Pirouette is made by Philippe Melka and it’s a total blockbuster based on 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, and the palate Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec that was fermented in barrel and aged 22 months in 75% new oak. Crème de cassis, blackberries, toasted spices, cedar, and forest floor notes all emerge from this deep, rich, opulent red that has sweet tannins, a thrilling texture, no hard edges, and a monster finish. This is another best-to-date from this estate and it’s an awesome wine. - Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com Learn More
  17. Yalumba Cabernet Sauvignon Coonawarra Menzies The Cigar 2013
    WE92
    $19.98
    Availability:In Stock
92 Points! Menzies is the name of Yalumba's Coonawarra estate, which is almost entirely devoted to Cabernet Sauvignon. Like most of the Yalumba wines, the oak levels have been pared back in recent vintages, allowing this wine's cassis fruit to to shine. Hints of tobacco, bay leaf and sage bring complexity, while the tannins are fine, adding a softly dusty feel to the long finish. - Wine Enthusiast Learn More
