  1. G.D. Vajra Barbera d'Alba Superiore 2016
    WS92
    WA92
    $39.98
    Availability:In Stock
92 Points! The 2016 Barbera d'Alba Superiore is a precise and balanced wine that applies a very orderly approach to a grape that can often show an untamed or wild side. In fact, this wine flaunts a level of pedigree that does not go unnoticed to those in the know about Barbera. This expression has it all under control, and the wine comports itself in a soothing manner that will pair well with hearty winter dishes. Fire up the grill now, or stick it in the cave and take your chances. - Monica Larner, robertparker.com Learn More

  4. Bedrock Under The Mountain Heritage Wine Santa Clara County 2017
    $49.98
    Availability:In Stock
This amazing survivor vineyard is indeed “under the mountain,” or more accurately right under the Santa Cruz Mountains. Located in the hills west of Morgan Hill and just north of Hecker Pass, the vineyard lies in a region once heavily planted to vines. Most of the original plantings in the area have given way to housing, shopping malls and the other needs of the sprawling south Bay Area, which makes this vineyard, nestled in the hills, so unique. Farmed by the Gregory family, the vineyard is planted predominately to Zinfandel and Carignan, though some Petite Sirah, Muscat and others exist on the site as well. The small amount of wine we are able to make off the site is defined by beautiful mountain acidity, fresh fruit and aromatics that pop out of the glass. - Morgan Twain-Peterson Learn More
  5. Bedrock Lorenzo's Heritage Wine Dry Creek Valley 2017

    Availability:In Stock
94+ Points! Bedrock's 2017 Heritage Wine Lorenzo, from Teldeschi Ranch, is a potent, massively structured wine that will need quite a bit of time to come into its own. Dark cherry, leather, smoke, licorice, spice and menthol give the Lorenzo much of its distinctive brooding personality. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media Learn More

93-95 Points! A first look at the 2017 Geyserville Proprietary Red Wine revealed immense promise. Despite having been in barrel for a mere six months, it's already offering up complex aromas of raspberries, blackberries and exotic spice. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, pure and succulent, with superb concentration, a lovely line of ripe acidity and a chalky, fine-grained finish. The wine attained 14.7% alcohol, and Baugher believes it will be one of the best renditions of Geyserville in a decade. - William Kelley, robertparker.com Learn More

The 2017 Zinfandel Sonoma County offers a beautiful sense of elegance and purity as well as pretty cherry fruits, violets, flowers, and spice. It’s not a heavyweight yet shines for its seamless texture, integrated acidity, and a great finish. It’s a steal at the price. - Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com

  11. Carlisle Winery Zinfandel Russian River Valley Montafi Ranch 2017
    WS92
    JD98
    VM91-94
    $49.98
    Availability:In Stock
98 Points! The 2017 Zinfandel Montafi Ranch comes from very old vines in the Russian River (planted in 1926) and is 89% Zinfandel with the balance a mix of other varieties (this cuvée is all black varieties, with no whites). Aged in 25% new barrels, it has awesome complexity in its dark currants, blackberry, and blueberry fruits as well as notes of ground pepper, crushed violets, smoke earth, and eucalyptus. Deep, full-bodied and powerful on the palate, it still stays perfectly balanced, has ultra-fine tannins, good acidity, and plenty of elegance (although this beauty certainly brings the power). It’s a magical, singular Zinfandel to drink over the coming 15-20 years. - Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com

  14. Valravn Zinfandel Sonoma County Old Vine 2017
    $15.98
    Availability:In Stock
Quite the deal on Old Vine Zin from Sonoma!  Valravn is born from bush-pruned vines ranging in age from 50 to 105-years-old, harvested between September 14th and October 2nd. Hand harvesting each vineyard parcel allowed for selection of only the most pristine bunches which averaged 26 brix at harvest. Grapes were hand sorted and gently destemmed before fermentation. After a 24 hour cold-soak, which served to extract richness and color from these black grapes, the wine was slowly fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks with twice-daily remontage (pumping over) during fermentation. The wine was then racked into French oak barrels (20% new) and aged for 10 months before being bottled with no fining and a very light filtration.

    WA91
    $29.98
    Availability:In Stock
91 Points!  The 2016 Barbera d'Alba Superiore starts off with subtle and careful intensity. But as it takes on greater momentum in the glass, you begin to recognize dark fruit, etched mineral and black olive. The finish is polished and crisp. This Barbera reveals significant depth and lasting persistence. - Monica Larner, Wine Advocate.
