PALATE: Freshly polished leather, dried apricots, warm butter, dusty oak furniture in a fire, finishes with root beer and brown baking spice.
GENERAL: This forward and sexy rye will spice up your evening. Succulent and spicy on the entry yields to round, smooth, sweet bakery items and toasty oak. An experience akin to the pre-duel heightening of one’s senses followed by the euphoria of getting off the first shot.

Nose: Brown sugar, toast, grain, dark fruits
Body: Full and chewy
Palate: Peanut brittle, vanilla, leatherbound books, finishes with almond and cola
General: Comes off nearly sweet, but beautifully balanced. Its powerful, but gracefully gentle, like Muhammed Ali petting a kitten. Pairs well with an elegant, yet sultry evening.

The intense nose reveals empyreumatic notes that evoke both ashes, toast and moka. Subtle touches of spices (cinnamon, nail clove) and liquorice reinforce its complexity.​

The mouth is thick, mellow and oily. Its salinity gives it a fresh and harmonious balance. Its structure is coated thanks to its elegant tannins.

The finish is long and persistent on aromas peat characteristics.​

From Found North: Batch 009 is our oldest Batch to date. While the cornerstone of this blend is a 19 year old rye aged in Ruby Port barrels, the crux of this whisky is the triplet of 23 year old corn
components that form the foundation of the blend, two of which were aged in New American
Oak and one in Bourbon barrels. We used two additional 19 year old whiskies, one corn and
one rye, as well as a 22 year old corn and a 26 year old corn component to round out the
rest of this 8-whisky tapestry.

Batch 009 lands with a burst of berry fruit and a sweet baking spice counterpart. The
landing dissolves into cinnamon and brown sugar while the fruit notes melt like muscadine
grapes rolling thick viscous vanillin oils across the tongue. The dense raw maple notes seep
into the side palate, dominating the entire midsection like treacle turned into languid
molten lava moving implacably toward the finish. As the rich, viscous molasses note reaches
the last section it transitions into a triad of wood spice, gentle mint tea and oak tannin,
echoing endlessly, reverberating honey, citrus and nutmeg.

From Cazcanes: Our Still Strength Blanco (54% ABV) was placed in a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, first-fill French Oak casks. It was aged for 31 days and then bottled at 50% ABV or 100 proof.

This is a limited edition. This is the only batch that will be made this year.

It is gentle with a warm and delicate flavor brought by the sea water and the caper distillate. Juniper, distilled in a traditional still, comes from the Balkan forests of Albania where it grows particularly resinous, giving MENEGIKS GIN accentuated balsamic notes.

Distiller Notes: For years we’ve released a bold, heavily-smoked American Single Malt inspired by the super-smoky single malts of Islay (ai – luh). Formerly known as Winter Release, we’ve renamed this classic expression “Ode to Islay.” This expression is our way to raise a glass to tradition and pave our way with Southwestern ingredients – Ode to Islay is heavily mesquited. Not peated. It also joins the Global Cask Collection as a limited annual release like Frontera and Normandie.

This year’s Ode to Islay is our mesquited-not-peated American Single Malt finished in a mix of ex-rye, bourbon, and second-use Whiskey Del Bac Dorado casks.

The final result is a beautiful love letter to both inspirations. The last Ode to Islay expression earned a 9/10 from Malt Review Magazine and secured 91 points from Whisky Advocate.

On the Nose: 

You may find cocoa nibs, cinnamon, charred mesquite, and earth. On the palate, you may find soft vanilla up front, blossoming into plumes of mesquite smoke and white pepper, tapering off into soft cinnamon and candied toffee.

On the Rocks: 

You may find the mesquite moves to the forefront, contrasting against new notes of vanilla and dried stone fruit. The pepper spice recedes, replaced by notes of honey and butterscotch.

Our recommendation is to serve Ode To Islay with one large ice cube.

The 15 Year’s nose opens with subtle fragrant pear notes that give way to aromas of raisin and pungent brown sugar. Rich black currant jam and brûlée caramel flavors unfold, leading into spice notes of ginger snaps and fresh-cracked black pepper. Butterscotch candy lingers on the soft, extended finish.

We compose our gin on a citrusy, botanical backbone. Classic juniper and coriander meld with kaffir lime, lemongrass, and grains of paradise. Put it on ice or in a craft cocktail and let the flavor expand. Cheers.

Long relegated to island getaways, the Mai Tai is a drink clouded by unfortunate misconceptions. The refreshing original recipe concocted by Victor Bergeron (AKA: Trader Vic himself) pops like a colorful flower in the crack of a sidewalk, all citrus wallop and tropical, toasted delight. Tasting Notes: Fresh sugar cane, mandarin, marzipan, toasted almond

A Prohibition era standard that deserves wider acclaim, the Bee’s Knees is a classic for a reason. Tart lemon and floral honey balance each other, while the gin’s botanicals give it a crispness that’ll put extra spring in your step. The drink dates back to Paris in the 1920’s, but we think it deserves a proper introduction to a larger swarm of fans.

Tasting Notes: Citrus peel, crisp tart lemon and floral notes of dried lavender.

Good news: you haven’t traveled back to the ‘90s. Better news: the Espresso Martini is back. Ours is strong and smooth, with a hint of vanilla. It boasts a delicious complexity from our coffee pals at Counter Culture. This is a drink that keeps the party going—or starts one from scratch.

Tasting Notes: Roasted Coffee, Vanilla Bean, Rich and Smooth

If you like Negronis, you probably actually love Negronis. It’s just that kind of drink. Bittersweet and boozy. A high wire balancing act that would only be attempted by three bold ingredients such as these. This red-hued classic is unmistakable, even at a quick glance, and especially once you’ve had your first sip.

Tasting Notes: Bright orange and grapefruit with fresh juniper and a juicy, yet bitter, finish.

It’s a drink that needs no introduction. After all, everyone associates something with a margarita, be it the beach, chips and salsa, or “it’s five o’clock somewhere.” Ours sports a simple mix of tequila, lime juice, and orange liqueur. It’s a return to form of sorts, a celebration of the origins of a drink that has traveled far and wide. This proper, post-Prohibition cocktail has landed in the laps of distinguished imbibers for decades—now it’s yours.

Tasting Notes: Salted lime with grassy vegetal notes from tequila, a juicy mouthfeel and a finish of fresh orange rind.

The Old Fashioned is the original cocktail. It’s as classic as it gets and, when done right, it’s the mark of a master. You want to taste the bourbon, followed by a hint of sweet orangey citrus and rounded out at the finish with the warming spice of bitters.
