Hibiki 21 is a distinguished Japanese blended whisky crafted by Suntory's House of Hibiki. Introduced in 1989, Hibiki, meaning "resonance" in Japanese, embodies the harmony between nature and craftsmanship.

This exceptional blend comprises meticulously selected malt whiskies from Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries, combined with grain whisky from Chita distillery, each aged for a minimum of 21 years. The whiskies are matured in a combination of American ex-bourbon, European ex-sherry, and Japanese Mizunara oak casks, imparting a complex and harmonious flavor profile.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Bronze amber.
Nose: Cooked fruit, blackberry, ripe banana, and caramel.
Palate: Sandalwood, honeycomb, dried apricot, and subtle notes of Mizunara (Japanese oak).
Finish: Long and rich with an incense aroma.

FLAVOR PROFILE
Zesty with honey, poached pears, nectarine and lychee, then juicy apricot and pineapple excite the palate. Toffee, vanilla and butterscotch sauce follow, with a lasting flavor of cinnamon bun.

“Kanosuke HIOKI POT STILL” is made at Hioki distillery by using unmalted and malted barley, mashed and fermented in a unique process, then distilled carefully in a pot still, followed by maturation in new American white oak casks and bourbon barrels at the KANOSUKE distillery warehouse.

NOSE: Butterscotch, maple and the rainbow of peppercorns
BODY: Full and robust
PALATE: Freshly polished leather, dried apricots, warm butter, dusty oak furniture in a fire, finishes with root beer and brown baking spice.
GENERAL: This forward and sexy rye will spice up your evening. Succulent and spicy on the entry yields to round, smooth, sweet bakery items and toasty oak. An experience akin to the pre-duel heightening of one’s senses followed by the euphoria of getting off the first shot.

Color: Tawny/Auburn
Nose: Brown sugar, toast, grain, dark fruits
Body: Full and chewy
Palate: Peanut brittle, vanilla, leatherbound books, finishes with almond and cola
General: Comes off nearly sweet, but beautifully balanced. Its powerful, but gracefully gentle, like Muhammed Ali petting a kitten. Pairs well with an elegant, yet sultry evening.

The intense nose reveals empyreumatic notes that evoke both ashes, toast and moka. Subtle touches of spices (cinnamon, nail clove) and liquorice reinforce its complexity.​

The mouth is thick, mellow and oily. Its salinity gives it a fresh and harmonious balance. Its structure is coated thanks to its elegant tannins.

The finish is long and persistent on aromas peat characteristics.​

Distiller Notes: For years we’ve released a bold, heavily-smoked American Single Malt inspired by the super-smoky single malts of Islay (ai – luh). Formerly known as Winter Release, we’ve renamed this classic expression “Ode to Islay.” This expression is our way to raise a glass to tradition and pave our way with Southwestern ingredients – Ode to Islay is heavily mesquited. Not peated. It also joins the Global Cask Collection as a limited annual release like Frontera and Normandie.

This year’s Ode to Islay is our mesquited-not-peated American Single Malt finished in a mix of ex-rye, bourbon, and second-use Whiskey Del Bac Dorado casks.

The final result is a beautiful love letter to both inspirations. The last Ode to Islay expression earned a 9/10 from Malt Review Magazine and secured 91 points from Whisky Advocate.

On the Nose: 

You may find cocoa nibs, cinnamon, charred mesquite, and earth. On the palate, you may find soft vanilla up front, blossoming into plumes of mesquite smoke and white pepper, tapering off into soft cinnamon and candied toffee.

On the Rocks: 

You may find the mesquite moves to the forefront, contrasting against new notes of vanilla and dried stone fruit. The pepper spice recedes, replaced by notes of honey and butterscotch.

Our recommendation is to serve Ode To Islay with one large ice cube.

Òran is, unashamedly, an old school blend - one recognizable to whisky lovers in the heyday of blended whisky some 100 years ago. Where the grain and malt contents are created separately but ultimately act as the perfect foil for the other. To create this whisky, we traveled to Spain and had Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry made especially for us. The casks, once filled with quality sherry and seasoned for one year in Spain, were brought to the distillery to mature our New-Make spirit for a wonderful complex whisky. The M&H Elements Sherry is the first and only kosher single malt whisky in the world, aged in Sherry casks. This single malt reveals robust flavors of red fruit, dark chocolate, and oaky notes.

The seed for the nectar of the gods was sown in the barren desert. Many millennia have passed since barley has bloomed in the inhospitable climate of Rajasthan. For our uncompromising quest to create the finest spirits, we use the traditional Indian six row barley, which is cultivated using old indigenous practices that rely on organic and sustainable methods. The yield may be smaller but it lends a fruity and floral distinctive taste to the spirits.

With a high malt content of 70% – a percentage usually associated with much pricier labels – and a considerable proportion drawn from ex-Sherry casks, this whisky delivers premium quality and exceptional flavor at an unbeatable price. Our popular single malt is 50:50 unpeated to peated whisky matured in both ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks and combines our signature coastal characteristics with peat, fruit and marshmallows.

Nose: Orchard fruit, wet pebbles on a beach, oyster shells and eucalyptus

Palate: Tobacco leaves, peppercorns, brine, hay bales and marzipan

This whisky is bottled at 46.8% ABV.

Samsara, meaning ‘rebirth’, is a full-bodied and fragrant blend of malts matured in ex Bourbon and ex Californian red wine casks.
