Learn MoreHURRY, ONLY 3 LEFT! - Leo Steen Rose of Grenache Sonoma Valley 2021Special Price $15.98 Regular Price $22.98Availability:Out of Stock
The Leo Steen Rose of Grenache Sonoma Valley Rose Ranch 2021 comes from the Rose Vineyard at the base of Sugarloaf not far from Kenwood in Sonoma Valley. Sugarloaf is an extinct volcano and this vineyard, made up mainly of clay laced with lava, has been farmed biodynamically since the 1990s. One of our complaint about domestic rose (besides that there are way to many of them) is that they are often blowsy and alcoholic.
Here again Leo's 'Euro' sensibilities, and the long, cool growing season of 2021, created a distinctive combination of berries, floral notes and a touch of minerality sitting atop fresh acidity that kept everything humming along. It was a surprising effort from a California vineyard, with purity of fruit and the brightness that is imperative in good rose. It can play alone or pair well with nibbles, gilled fish, and other lighter handed fare.
Learn More - Quintaluna de Ossian Verdejo Castilla y Leon 2019JS92WA91Special Price $17.98 Regular Price $29.98Availability:In Stock
92 Points! A full-bodied white with sliced apple, white pineapple, waxy lemon and some pear. Slightly waxy. Long and flavorful. An excellent example of verdejo. Drink or hold. - JamesSuckling.com
91 Points! The 2019 Quintaluna, pure Verdejo from the province of Segovia, fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and was kept with the lees for nine months. A small fraction of the wine was in oak foudres and barrels. This feels like a ripe vintage, not as ripe as 2017 but with an exotic touch and more varietal notes of freshly cut grass. It's balanced and soft, with integrated acidity and rich flavors. - Luis Gutierrez, robertparker.com
Quintaluna expresses the genuine character and freshness of Verdejo. The grapes are sourced from a range of small vineyards across various towns in northern Segovia: Nieva, Aldeanueva del Codonal, Aldehuela del Codonal and Santiuste de San Juan Bautista. The vineyards are planted on sandy soils with a high codon content, bringing minerality, freshness and finesse to the wine. Most of the vines are ungrafted, dating back to the 19th century prior to the phylloxera epidemic having been protected from the devastating plague by its sandy soil. A smaller section of the vineyard is comprised of younger vines that are hand-selected and low-yielding.

Learn MoreHURRY, ONLY 1 LEFT! - Santa Carolina Cabernet Sauvignon Luis Pereira 2012DEC95WA93Special Price $69.98 Regular Price $99.98Availability:In Stock93 Points! The top Cabernet Sauvignon, a wine they have been working on for years, was finally ready to taste. In fact, they showed me two vintages, including this older one. The 2012 Luis Pereira is a wine that wants to go back to the style of yesteryear. It has a medium body, with moderate alcohol (12.8%, which is very unusual in Chile nowadays), more about elegance than power, with smoky notes of merken spices and cured meat, already developing some aromatic complexity. It's produced with grapes from 70-year-old vines, and it fermented with indigenous yeasts. It aged in used barriques for one year and then a further year in large oak foudres. This is a stunning Cabernet Sauvignon—serious, balanced and very fresh. 6,600 bottles were filled in April 2015. This has both the balance and the stuffing to develop in bottle for a long time. - Luis Gutierrez, robertparker.com Learn MoreHURRY, ONLY 6 LEFT!

A blend of 60% Roussanne (fermented and aged in steel) and 40% Marsanne (fermented and aged in barrique), the 2017 Roussanne-Marsanne features scents of toasted almond, pineapple and melon. It's medium to full-bodied, plush and rich without being heavy or oily. There's a honeyed note on the finish, but that's balanced by a lively dose of lime. I'd drink this in the next few years. - Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate

- Veronica Ortega Bierzo Quite 2018WA93Special Price $19.98 Regular Price $29.98Availability:In Stock93 Points! This is a red that is perfect for the by-the-glass market: the 2018 Quite is light and perfumed and has the Atlantic freshness of the 2018 vintage. It starts off a little reductive, and decanting it in advance could be a good idea if you pull the cork any time soon. 2018 has been a slow-developing vintage—the wines are evolving slowly, and this feels very young and tender. It's floral and elegant and has less alcohol than any other vintage, so it's a little lighter and more delicate and subtle. They harvested slowly, the vinification process was paused and the development of the wine quite slow. This has a velvety texture, but it always has structure, juicy berries and very fine tannins. - Luis Gutierrez, robertparker.com Learn More
