Château Jolys, the largest estate in the Jurançon AOC with its 36 hectares, nestles on the superb hills of Chapelle de Rousse village. The gentle slopes are exposed South / South-West and form amphitheatres facing the Pyrenees moutains. Soils are chalky and clayey. 

Cuvée Jean is made from 100% Petit Manseng grapes. The grapes are surmatured using the passerillage method, and the resulting concentration of sugar gives for perfectly healthy, golden and extremely ripe grapes. 

After total destemming and maceration before fermentation, we keep only the free-run juice to make this wine (juice obtained before pressing), in order to obtain the best of the richness and the aromas of the Petit Manseng grapes. After cold settling, alcoholic fermentation is carried out in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks (at around 20°C so as to preserve the aromas). Barrel ageing for 9 months in French oak barrels.

96 Points! Attractive bath powder and lemon blossom as well as white peach, grapefruit and some flint. The palate has a super fleshy feel with a blaze of acidity and long, fresh lemon, grapefruit and white-peach flavors. Good acidity and concentration. - JamesSuckling.com

Based on 100% Sauvignon Blanc and aged nine months in 50% used French oak, 20% new French oak, and 30% concrete egg, the 2024 Sauvignon Blanc AE offers lots of citrus and grapefruit hints with plenty of background grassy, herbal nuances. Medium gold-hued, it's medium-bodied, with bright acidity and a classy finish. This impeccably made Sauvignon Blanc will keep for 3-4 years with ease. Drink 2025-2029. - Jeb Dunnuck

93 Points! The 2024 AE White Wine is the second wine, 100% Sauvignon Blanc made and matured nine months in a mix of vessels (50% used barrels, 20% new barrels and 30% concrete egg). Passion fruit, crushed stone and grapefruit notes on the nose lead into a medium- to full-bodied wine. It's plump, rounded and generous, but it still retains bright acids and a lingering, mouthwatering finish. It's a terrific value in Napa Sauvignon Blanc. - Joe Czerwinski, robertparker.com

94 Points! From a lower section of the Ink Grade Estate, below 425 metres, this vineyard sits just outside the Howell Mountain AVA, making it part of the Napa Valley AVA. Intentionally made in a more reductive style, it is fermented partly in barrel and concrete, then racked to stainless steel for six months before completing full malolactic fermentation. This wine showcases a generosity of fruit, leaning towards the stone fruit spectrum, with layers of spicy ginger and cool wet slate or flinty mineral notes. The palate is rich and textured, with warming spice nuances of ginger and turmeric, leading to a leesy, lingering finish. Very elegant and exceptionally food-friendly. - Decanter Magazine

Oozing with character, this succulent and mouthwatering white offers a fleshy, juicy mix of perfectly ripe peach, mango and lemon bar flavors, with fresh herbal accents of lemon verbena and vetiver. 95 Points! The 2022 Chardonnay Russian River Valley is also a bright silver straw color and has a slightly deeper tone. 93 Points! The 2018 Riesling Vulkan opens with a pure, fresh and herbal, slightly flinty and still yeasty bouquet of crushed stones. Lush and round on the palate, this is a bone-dry, linear, fresh and elegant, very pure and grippy Riesling from Odinstal. The finish is salty, piquant and tight. The Toybox Chardonnay Sonoma Coast 2024 was fermented entirely in three year old French oak barriques, no new oak was used. Now, that’s not to say this wine doesn’t have ‘oak’ in the flavor profile mind you, it just isn’t the dominant theme. The hints of wood are there as a complexity, not the overriding theme. The fruit was sourced from the Hall Road Vineyard. This vineyard parcel, in western Sebastopol is right next door to one of our favorite producers on the planet, Walter Hansel, and is planted to the Wente heritage clone, originally brought from Burgundy in 1912 and recognized for its unique fruit and floral characteristics. The Chardonnay was barrel fermented in those aforementioned older oak barrels, underwent partial malolactic fermentation and was bottled unfiltered. A whopping 95 cases (four barrels) were produced!

93 Points! The 2024 Cuvée Natalie...is a supercharged, aromatic wine that blossoms like a bouquet of fresh flowers in the glass. There's really attractive breadth and weight here. Tingly acids balance the wine's inner creaminess, revealing a measure of phenolic, almost tannic grip on the long finish. Very elegant and very distinctive. - Billy Norris, Vinous Media

The 2022 Chardonnay Peake Ranch Vineyard offers a touch more complexity, offering ripe citrus and orchard fruits, spice, tropical flowers, and green almond notes in a medium-bodied, pure, focused, balanced package. It has the fruit and suppleness of the vintage yet brings good acidity and a focused, elegant mouthfeel. 95 Points! Last of the Chardonnays, the 2022 Chardonnay John Sebastiano Vineyard comes from a great vineyard on the eastern side of the appellation and was brought up in 28% new French oak. Ripe melon, salted citrus, crushed stone, and white flowers all define the aromatics, and this beauty hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, a pure, focused, chiseled mouthfeel, integrated acidity, and a great finish. 97 Points! I have heard gruner veltliner dismissed for supposedly not being elegant, but this is an extremely elegant example! Very complex nose of snow peas, green beans, wild herbs and green pepper. On the medium-bodied palate, this remarkable gruner veltliner has a discreet succulence, but what makes it amazing is the way it glides so gracefully over the palate, then splash lands in a deep pool of wet stone minerality.
