Pale ruby-purple, the 2019 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast has fragrant scents of cranberry sauce and pomegranate, with tones of orange peel, dried herbs, potpourri and Angostura bitters. 3. Rippon Pinot Noir Central Otago 'Mature Vine' Rippon 2020
    JS97
    WA93+
    $54.98
    Availability:In Stock

97 Points! Extremely perfumed with a pretty ripeness and clarity, offering plums and al-dente strawberries. Some cantaloupe, too. It's medium- to full-bodied with juicy fruit that's lovely and open. You want to drink it now. And do. Crunchy yet velvety and caressing in the mouth-feel from the lovely, open tannins. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Best in a year or two, but right on. - JamesSuckling.com

93+ Points! The 2020 Rippon Mature Vine Pinot Noir is restrained on the nose, with an earthy (i.e., of the earth, gray rocks, etc.) countenance that I find highly engaging. In the mouth, the fruit comes alive with cherry and cranberry, pomegranate pearls, graphite and pencil lead, layers of black tea, coal dust and brine. This is dark without being heavy or dense, and it’s very fine. The silty tannins linger through the finish and seem to settle on the palate, which is pleasurable. It's fresh, and it's restrained and composed. An exciting wine. 13.5% alcohol, sealed under Diam. - Erin Larkin, robertparker.com

92-94 Points! The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes, tasted from a one-year-old barrel (there will (be) 20% new in the final blend) has a tightly-knit bouquet with blackberry and raspberry fruit, quite elegant after three or four minutes of aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a lovely, confit-like entry, very well balanced with a silky texture, hints of raspberry jam and white pepper on the finish. Beautifully defined from start to finish. Excellent. - Neal Martin, Vinous Media

    Special Price $29.98

93 Points! Juicy Red Delicious apple and a hint of smoke on the nose usher you into this wine. At first sip, though, red berries like cherry and cranberry take center stage. The apple, smoke and a delightful hit of pepper are supporting players. A bracing back palate acidity offers a palate-cleansing sensation, but the finish on this wine is gently fruity and ultimately savory. - Wine Enthusiast

  7. Hartford Court Pinot Noir Land's Edge Vineyards 2021
    JD93
    $44.98
    Availability:In Stock

93 Points! A rich ruby/purple, the 2021 Pinot Noir Land's Edge Vineyards is ripe and rounded with a perfume of blackberry preserve, damp forest floor, and toasted baking spice. Full-bodied, but with clean lift and without weight, it has dark berries, candied flowers, sweet, ripe tannins, and a soft texture. This is an immediate wine, but it has good freshness and the structure to drink over the next 4-5 years. - Audrey Frick, jebdunnuck.com

  9. Bouchard Pere et Fils Le Corton Grand Cru 2016
    WA91-93
    $164.98
    Availability:In Stock

91-93 Points! The 2016 Corton Grand Cru comes from red clay soils that are just 80 centimeters deep before you hit the limestone bedrock. It has a finely tuned bouquet with cranberry, raspberry preserve and crushed strawberry scents, crushed roses developing with time. The palate is well balanced with a fine line of acidity, brisk and tensile from start to finish and then pulling back so as not to overdo the finish. This is a case of less is more in a wine and it is likely to surpass the 2015 Corton. - Neal Martin, robertparker.com

93-95+ Points! The 2020 Mercurey 1er Cru Clos de Champs Martin Cuvée Carline unwinds in the glass with a deep bouquet of wild berries, vine smoke, raw cocoa, cloves, anise and peonies. Medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, it's layered and complete, with a tightly wound core of vibrant fruit framed by beautifully refined tannins and concluding with a long, saline finish. Less demonstrative than its 2019 and 2018 predecessors, I suspect it will emerge as the finest of the trilogy in the fulness of time, but it will require patience. - William Kelley, robertparker.com

90-93 Points! from a .31 ha holding of 60+ year old vines. Moderate wood can be found on the ripe aromas of mostly plum and black currant with background hints of earth and the sauvage. There is again very good volume and solid concentration to the tautly muscular larger-scaled flavors that also coat the palate with dry extract on the youthfully austere, compact and firm finale. - Allen Meadows, Burghound #89

91-93 Points! Like the Champeaux, the nose is mildly toasty but it's not so oaky that the aromas of dark cherry, plum and newly turned earth can be appreciated. The medium-bodied and more powerful flavors also possess a really beguiling texture where the intensity does a slow build from the mid-palate to the youthfully austere finale that displays excellent length. This is textbook LSJ. Outstanding. - Allen Meadows, Burghound #89

...from 40 to 100-year-old vines located in 8 different lieux-dits though one-third of the blend is from Les Journaux in Brochon...Here too there is a whiff of wood framing denser aromas of just crushed dark berries and forest floor. There is even better volume and concentration to the middleweight flavors that are relatively sleekly texture thanks largely to the firm but fine tannins shaping the noticeably more complex and persistent finale. Worth checking out. Oustanding Top Value! - Allen Meadows, Burghound #89
