    $179.98
    Availability:Out of Stock

92 Points! The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos des Fontenys 1er Cru presents a well-defined nose with red fruit in the driving seat and is quite floral in style; wilted rose petals and peony emerge with aeration. The palate is clean and precise, delivering energetic, tart, red berry fruit supported by a wonderful acidic spine. Full of tension and brightness toward the finish. Excellent. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting. , Vinous Media

93-95 Points! The 2017 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru, of which there are two-and-a-half barrels this year, has an intense bouquet of blackberry, blueberry, pressed violets and hints of crushed stone, and feels very controlled and focused. The ripe, vibrant palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin and shimmering black fruit laced with orange sorbet and Japanese yuzu. This is a quintessential, zinging Bonnes-Mares, very well crafted and with impressive persistence on the finish., Vinous Media

    $89.98
    Availability:In Stock
92-94 Points! The 2017 Pommard Les Pezerolles 1er Cru is a little richer than the Les Epenots with more forward raspberry, wild strawberry and a light brine-like influence that gains traction with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, impressive depth of fruit but the terroir shines through. The finish is beautifully defined with a touch of spice and pain d’épices on the finish. Winemaker Jean-Pierre Charlot told me that this is his favourite cru in 2017...I can see exactly why. - Neal Martin, Vinous Media Learn More

  11. Chateau des Quarts Pouilly Fuisse Clos des Quarts Monopole 2017
    WA92+
    NM93
    VM93
    $69.98
    Availability:Out of Stock
93 Points! The 2017 Pouilly-Fuissé Clos des Quarts, co-owned by Olivier Merlin and Dominique Lafon, does not include the oldest vines in this particular vintage. Since these were planted in 1917, this plot was bottled separately in magnums to celebrate its centenary. It has a very classy bouquet, one that is beautifully defined with orange pith, apricot, lime flower and jasmine aromas that all gain intensity with aeration. The quality terroir comes through, even without those old vines. The palate is fresh and citrus-driven on the entry, bright and vivid with notes of orange rind, pine kernels, hints of mango and spice. This feels very harmonious and focused, demonstrating impressive depth on the flinty finish. This is a very impressive Pouilly-Fuissé from one of its most historic and now rejuvenated vineyards. Tasted at Field, Morris & Verdin’s annual tasting in London. - Neal Martin, Vinous Media Learn More
