93 Points! Based on 80% Roussanne and 20% Clairette, the 2022 Ventoux Quintessence Blanc is raised in a mix of demi-muids and barrels, with a tiny portion being new. It has a beautiful nose of ripe orchard fruits (pear, sliced apples) as well as subtle white flowers and chalky minerality. Medium-bodied and concentrated, with a beautiful spine of acidity, it's a gorgeous white from this team that will shine on the dinner table. - Jeb Dunnuck

95 Points! The effusive sliced-pear and white-peach aromas introduce you to this extraordinary, contemporary interpretation of this grape, which is so often dismissed as old-fashioned. The abundant fine tannins remind me of natural wines, but there’s a level of brightness here that’s totally Alpine and gives it remarkable drive at the very long wet-stone finish. 94 Points! The Köfererhof 2021 Alto Adige Valle Isarco Sylvaner (of which 90% sees stainless steel and only 10% see oak) starts off with a dusting of crushed limestone and rock salt. That delicate veiling lifts to reveal white fruit, grapefruit and quince. Then, after that wave of beautiful high-acidity fruit passes, the wine reverts back to those distinctive mineral notes that recall the gravel soils of glacier origin found in the vineyard. The wine leaves your senses feeling absolutely refreshed and revived. Made from 100% Roussanne brought up in neutral puncheons, the 2018 Roussanne Stolpman Vineyards reveals a medium gold color as well as classic notes of poached orchard fruits, brioche, crushed rocks, white flowers, licorice, and toasted bread. Pure, medium to full-bodied, and brilliantly layered, it's another rich, textured white from this estate that stays balanced, light on its feet, and fresh. Bravo. - Jeb Dunnuck
