- Franz Gojer Kerner Karneid Alto Adige 2020$24.98Availability:In Stock
From the importer: Karneid, the vineyard site, is a high-altitude plot on the other side of the valley from the winery. Very aromatic, a distinctive pear-drop nose, with flower notes reminiscent of Riesling (Kerner is a cross between Riesling and Schiava). Very fresh acidity, bone dry, I would drink this as a dry aperitif or with all sorts of appetizers.

The aromas are almost theatrical in their exuberant display of personality; they’re mercurial, hypnotic and beguile with scents of Aperol, Persian mulberry, lemon zest, orange peel and exotic spices. The palate is fine, fresh, light and taut with a cool, nectary finish that binds everything into perfect harmony. There are few wines as lovely to drink as this and while it seems like a wine from another dimension, it maintains an unmistakable Piemontese taste. Learn MoreHURRY, ONLY 1 LEFT!
