This is a delicious 2012 that is full of plentiful berry fruits, blackcurrant and sloe, with an unfussy feel of hedgerow brambled freshness. The tannins have heft and give, and there is a sense of precision but also of expansion through the palate, great stuff. 94 Points! The 2012 Brut Rosé de Saignée is a gorgeous wine that is full of Pinot character. Dried leaves, kirsch, tobacco and cedar are all nicely lifted. The Brut Rosé de Saignée shows the intense vintage along with the aromatic complexity of Pinot with a few years in bottle, a pretty attractive combination in my book. The 2012 Brut Collection d'Auteur is deep and vinous, unwinding in the glass with notes of pear, white flowers and freshly braked bread mingled with subtle hints of citrus zest and bee pollen.
