  1. Saxum James Berry Vineyard Bone Rock Paso Robles 2006 (Stained Label)
    WA96+
    $129.98
    Availability:In Stock

96+ Points! No wimpy wine, the 2006 Bone Rock James Berry Vineyard (76% Syrah, 18% Mourvedre, and 6% Grenache) has over 16% alcohol. It possesses phenomenal texture, stunning purity, and remarkable freshness, which, again, is attributable to the limestone soils as well as the proprietor’s brilliant hands-off winemaking philosophy. A complex perfume of roasted meats, black fruits, spring flowers, charcoal, and spice is followed by a wine of enormous richness (yet it is neither overweight nor heavy). Beautiful freshness permeates the wine’s black fruit flavors and full-bodied power and length. The finish lasts for nearly a minute. This 2006 should evolve for 12-15+ years. - Robert Parker, robertparker.com

  2. Plumpjack Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville 1995
    WA91
    $159.98
    Availability:In Stock

91 Points! The 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate, made by winemaker Tuck Beckstoffer with back-up consulting from near-by neighbor Nils Venge of Saddleback Cellars, is a highly extracted, extremely rich, full-bodied Cabernet that will win many fans. Approximately 1,000 cases were produced of this dense purple-colored wine that reveals a ripe prune and cassis-scented nose with lavish smoky oak. Full-bodied, deep, and chewy, with sweet tannin and plenty of extract and glycerin, this is an impressively-endowed, supple style of Cabernet Sauvignon that should drink well for 10-15+ years. - Robert Parker, robertparker.com

  3. Léoville Las Cases Saint Julien 1995
    WS95
    WA95
    $229.98
    Availability:Out of Stock

95 Points! The 1995 Léoville Las Cases is a blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc. Medium garnet colored with a touch of brick, it needs a fair bit of swirling to unlock the intense notes of baked plums, dried mulberries and boysenberry preserves with hints of black truffles, Chinese five spice, unsmoked cigars and dusty soil, plus wafts of beef drippings and cast-iron pan. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers good weight and generous fruit, supported by plush tannins and seamless freshness, finishing with loads of earth, sautéed herbs and mineral-inspired flavors. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, robertparker.com, 2021

  4. Figeac Saint Emilion 1995
    WA92
    $249.98
    Availability:Out of Stock

92 Points! Tasted at the Château Figeac vertical at the property from one of the last remaining imperials, one could argue that the six-liter format would have benefit the 1995 Figeac. Even so, that should not take anything away from this, the best vintage of that decade. Firstly, one notices that it is deeper in color than the underwhelming 1996. Then you fall into the aromatics, a beguiling concoction of blackcurrant pastilles, melted tar and tobacco all beautifully preserved after two decades. What differentiates it from the succeeding vintages is that here there is the fruit to back it up. The palate is fresh and quite dense in the mouth. The acidity is perfectly matched to the fruit, lively with a touch of piquancy on the ebullient, red cherry and wild strawberry finish that still has a bit of glycerin. The 1995 is the best vintage between 1990 and 2001, and represents a worthy wine to celebrate Thierry Manoncourt's 50th vintage. Tasted June 2015. - Neal Martin, robertparker.com, 2016

  6. Abreu Cabernet Sauvignon Madrona Ranch 1995
    WA95
    $299.98
    Availability:In Stock

95 Points! The 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon Madrona Ranch is a strikingly superb Cabernet Sauvignon. Although it includes 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Merlot in the blend, I would never have guessed that. Aged in 100% new Taransaud barrels (as are all Abreu's wines), this wine boasts an opaque purple color, in addition to a fabulous bouquet of blueberries, blackberries, cassis, licorice, minerals, and smoky, toasty oak. The wine's aromatics soar from the glass, and in the mouth, the bouquet's promise is fulfilled. A thick, juicy, black fruit character comes across in cascades of fruit, glycerin, and extract. All of this has been buttressed by sweet tannin and good acidity. A voluptuously-textured, blockbuster, yet remarkably harmonious wine, it is one of the finest efforts of the vintage. Anticipated maturity: 2001-2025. - Robert Parker, robertparker.com

The fabulous 1995 Claret Reserve (a blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot) offers an opaque ruby/purple color, and a classic creme de cassis nose intermixed with toasty new oak and minerals. Full-bodied, with superb texture, dense, massively rich flavors, and a 40+ second finish, this is a gorgeously made, Bordeaux-styled wine with dazzling levels of fruit and extract. 10. Glaymond Shiraz The Distance Barossa Valley 2006
    WA92
    $34.98
    Availability:In Stock

92 Points! The 2006 The Distance Shiraz was sourced from a 47-year-old estate vineyard. A glass-staining opaque purple color, the nose emits scents of toasty oak, pencil lead, scorched earth, blueberry, and blackberry liqueur. On the palate this full-bodied wine is layered, dense, and structured, with enough stuffing to develop for another 4-6 years. It should be at its best from 2013 to 2030.

Glaymond is the hangout of rising star Damien Tscharke whose family owns the vineyards. They are located in some of the most prime real estate of Barossa Valley. Chris Ringland is the winemaking consultant. Those who love no-holds-barred, big Barossa behemoths should check out Glaymond. - Jay Miller, robertparker.com February 2009

91+ Points! The 2006 Shiraz Apricot Block is also closed down and tannic. Its aromatics are reticent and the structure dominates the fruit at the moment. Whether it will come into balance remains to be seen. - Jay Miller, robertparker.com December 2009 Learn More

  12. Greenock Creek Shiraz Alices Barossa Valley 2006
    WA91+
    $59.98
    Availability:In Stock
91+ Points! The 2006 Shiraz Alices is more dense and saturated than the Seven Acre cuvee. It exhibits a brooding nose of smoke, lavender, damp earth, game, and blueberry. Firm and a bit closed down on the palate, this structured effort is still tightly wound and will require extended cellaring of 6-8 years. It seems to have all the right stuff to ultimately reveal its full potential but time will tell. - Jay Miller, robertparker.com December 2009 Learn More
