The Marchesi di Barolo 1958 showed a ruby center with some bricking on the edge, amazingly youthful…macerated strawberry and smoked meats held court aromatically, the most sauvage of the trio, but not at all ‘funky’. On the palate the wine delivered  a wealth of Nebbiolo fruit that bult and carried through the back palate, plenty of energy and vigor, a complete joy to drink.
