From vines about 50 years old and picked at 76° Oechsle, the 2021 Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Kabinett is the only "Kabi" made here in this vintage that simply lacked the quantity to select for both styles. This one here is very delicate and refined on the subtle yet finely concentrated and elegant nose. Crystalline, refined and lush on the palate, with very delicate, filigreed fruit that is infused with very elegant acidity, this is a beautiful, balanced and stimulating Kabinett with ripe but fine fruit that does not envelop the acidity but intertwines with it and begins to dance. There is great finesse and balance with filigreed structure, and this is probably one of the finest Kabinett wines of the vintage on the Mosel. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Picked at 87° Oechsle but from 90-year-old, ungrafted vines and with lots of sugar-free dry extract, the 2021 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese opens with intense and generous, ripe and even concentrated fruit with very fine notes of crushed slate and fresh lemon juice. Round and refined on the palate, this is a delicious, very delicate and vivacious Spätlese with typical WSU finesse and fine acidity that is interwoven with the characteristic and so stimulating salinity on the finish. Picked from 80- to 90-year-old vines with the fruit at around 75° to 76° Oechsle, Richter's 2021 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett offers pure yet intense and concentrated, flinty-scented fruit with citrus and red cassis aromas. Round and savory on the palate, with crystalline acidity and perfectly round fruit, this is an elegant and refined WSU with redcurrant notes on the saline finish. The acidity is fine but everything else is shy except for the great expression of the blue slate in the Sonnenuhr. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. 98+ Points! The 2021 Kinheimer Hubertuslay Riesling Eiswein shows a slatey nose with apricot, physalis and lychee as well as broken slate aromas. Lush and sweet as well as refined and saline on the palate, this is a rich and generously fruity but very delicate and balanced Eiswein with fine, crystalline acidity cutting through dense and fleshy apricot fruit. This Hubertuslay Eiswein is from the first run and is much sweeter and richer than the "generic," possibly more "typical" Eiswein from the second and third run off the press, which makes the wine crystalline, refined, elegant and sharp in a positive sense. 96 Points! From vines about 100 years old, the 2021 Ürziger Würzgarten In der Kranklei Riesling Spätlese Alte Reben (Gold Capsule) was picked in early November with 89° Oechsle. The wine shows a clear, deep, pure and intense, stony/herbal bouquet that is highly refined and complex but by far not as opulent or fruit intense compared to former vintages. Round and refined on the palate, this is a generous, saline and playful Spätlese of great finesse. The wine is not really rich or generous but a perfect mix of body, salt, grip and ripe, elegant fruit. The acidity is highly refined and leads to a saline, salivating finish with stimulating crunchy slate splinters. Absolutely fabulous! This has 7.5% stated alcohol plus a moderate 72 grams per liter of residual sugar. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2022. 99 Points! The 2020 Marienburg Raffes is pure, very intense and fresh on the crystalline nose, with popcorn, mocha and crushed slate aromas. Silky, lush and generous on the palate, this is a full-bodied, dense, intense and refined yet crystalline and saline, firmly structured and very sustainable Raffes with fine tannins and a long and promising finish. This is a highly complex dry Riesling that is not as soft or as feminine as the Felsterrasse but behaves like the Hermannshöhle to the Dellchen. The wine shows everything that makes a classic Mosel Riesling, minerality, acidity and fruit nicely balanced. The ageing potential of this wine is 15 years.

94+ Points! The 2019 Juffer Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese is very clear and elegant on the discreet and subtle nose that intertwines very fine fruit and slate aromas. Remarkably piquant and vital on the palate, the acidity cuts the sweet and perfectly ripe fruit like a knife. This is highly stimulating in its piquancy and lingering salinity.
