From the winery: In this blend of four emblematic Provençal grape varietals, each plays a distinctive role: Grenache noir 65%, Syrah 15%, Cinsault 15% and Rolle 5%. Grenache contributes roundness, delicacy, and subtle aromas, while Syrah adds power and color. Cinsault, known for finesse and fruity notes, gently balances the strength provided by Grenache and Syrah. Rolle, the iconic white grape of Provence, introduces a touch of tension, freshness, and floral notes to complete this well-balanced blend. The grapes are pressed directly, followed by a cold alcoholic fermentation process. Vinification and maturation unfold in stainless steel tanks and concrete vats, meticulously preserving the freshness and natural aromas inherent in the terroir and grape varieties. Aging for several weeks on fine lees imparts complexity and smoothness to the wine, all the while upholding Roseblood’s signature elegance and delicacy.

95 Points! Mainly Mourvèdre, with bits of Grenache and Syrah, this estate's 2018 Bandol offers up profound notes of plummy fruit and cola-like spices. Full-bodied, deep and rich, this is lovely stuff, overflowing with black cherries and subtle spice shadings framed by ripe tannins. Rolle, Sauvignon, Grenache Blanc, Clairette. Founded on organic farming principles, Domaine de la Mongestine stands apart as a true rarity in Coteaux d’Aix en Provence, a region known for mass-produced and standardized wines. Rows are planted on clay and limestone soils of some of the highest North facing slopes in the appellation, reaching up to 450 meters. The nutritious soils allow for a longer maturation process that preserves the freshness of the grapes and their acidity. The vineyard is further breaking the mold for Provence winemaking as it transitions to biodynamic viticulture, producing its wines with the least intervention possible and allowing natural processes to extract the fullness of the terroir. Aging takes place in inert tanks and amphora (traditional clay containers), where micro-oxygenation results in a fresh and fruit-forward white wine.

93+ Points! The 2022 Rosé Clos Mireille Cru Classé is dreamy, wafting up with a perfumed blend of nectarine, sweet white flowers and white strawberry. Like pure silk on the palate, this soothes with its ripe orchard fruits, which are gently contrasted by a bitter tinge of sour citrus as juicy acidity adds fleshy depths. The 2022 cleans up beautifully as inner florals and confectionary spice echo throughout. This is a gorgeous Rosé today, yet it should evolve beautifully for years. - Eric Guido, Vinous Media

It’s supple and soothing to the senses, with a textural wave of white strawberry, candied orange and sweet inner florals. A core of brilliant acidity maintains a fantastic balance as this tapers off long and potent. A mineral staining and citrus hints tease the taste buds. With a harmonious bouquet and aromas of red berries, spices, iodine, jasmine, wild strawberry and menthol, it’s round and supple, medium to full-bodied, layered and textured, with mineral acidity and an ethereal yet lively finish. This Bandol Rosé has a typical sunny pink color with shades of orange. Subtle and floral aromas are balanced with ample aromas of citrus and red berries. Full-bodied and round with a crisp back palate, this “gastronomic rosé” has more of a white wine persona, with berry notes vying with delightful tree-fruit (peach, nectarine) and citrus notes (grapefruit) and a nice cut to the finish. While it’s got plenty of personality, there’s definitely more of a lighter on its feet, white wine vibe to this effort that makes it an ideal foil for an array of foods, though it's plenty tasty to just haul off and drink.
