  4. Philipp Brundlmayer Grüner Veltliner Liter 2022
    $13.98
    Availability:In Stock

Joseph and Philipp Brundlmayer are passionate not only about winemaking but also their family history, one that is intimately connected with spectacular vineyard sites that they work entirely by hand. In the 1980s Joseph turned a passion for winemaking into a full time profession, taking the grapes that were normally sent to co-op and teaching himself how to make wine, but even more importantly adding vineyard sites. Not just any vineyard sites, the ones no one wanted to work since they were too hard, too high, too terraced. In short, many of the best sites of the Kremstal. It was when his son Philipp joined him in winemaking in 2015 that things really took off, innovations in winemaking, labeling and attention to low intervention vineyard management. Everything is done by hand, cover crops are used to their fullest and no attention to detail is spared in the health of their 100 different vineyard plots or in the meticulous cellar.

  5. Hofkellerei des Fürsten von Liechtenstein Herrnbaumgarten Cuvee 2021
    $21.98
    Availability:In Stock

Viticulture has been a tradition in Herrnbaumgarten for centuries. Growing on calcareous, deeper layers of loess, salted with small limestone pearls from the onetime Danube Delta, tightly woven, fresh Riesling and open, lush Grüner Veltliner ripen here, moulded by the Pannonian climatic influences.

The rare blend of Riesling and Grüner Veltliner from the parcels in Herrnbaumgarten creates an unmistakably original, fruity-mineral and invigorating style, in which two varieties with their assertive individual characters meld into a unique flavour.

A philosophy of clean microbiology in the vineyard results in ripe clean fruit with stellar phenolic ripeness and lower sugar levels. Minimal intervention during winemaking means less sulphur use and results in wines with significant character, expression and longevity without losing varietal typicity.
