90 Points! The NV Crémant de Bourgogne from Briday checks in as 40% each of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with the balance Aligote. Hand-harvested and traditionally made, and aged 12-16 months in bottle before release, it has a classy, Champagne-like nose of stone fruits, toasted break, and honeyed citrus to go with a rounded, fleshy, impressively textured profile on the palate. It has a vibrant mousse, building richness, and a soft, incredibly drinkable style. It’s a terrific wine to drink over the coming couple of years. - Jeb Dunnuck

- Domaine du Clos des Rocs (Olivier Giroux) Pouilly-Loché Clos des Rocs 2020WA93$39.98Availability:Out of Stock
93 Points! Bottled shortly before I tasted it, Giroux's emblematic 2020 Pouilly-Loché Clos des Rocs (Monopole) unwinds in the glass with aromas of orange zest, Anjou pear, freshly baked bread, citrus blossom and nutmeg. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and fleshy, with racy acids and a long, saline finish, it's a quintessentially elegant, seamless wine which I'm sure will show even better when it has bounced back from bottling. - William Kelley, robertparker.com
Learn More - Chateau des Quarts Pouilly Fuisse Clos des Quarts Monopole 2017WA92+NM93VM93$69.98Availability:Out of Stock93 Points! The 2017 Pouilly-Fuissé Clos des Quarts, co-owned by Olivier Merlin and Dominique Lafon, does not include the oldest vines in this particular vintage. Since these were planted in 1917, this plot was bottled separately in magnums to celebrate its centenary. It has a very classy bouquet, one that is beautifully defined with orange pith, apricot, lime flower and jasmine aromas that all gain intensity with aeration. The quality terroir comes through, even without those old vines. The palate is fresh and citrus-driven on the entry, bright and vivid with notes of orange rind, pine kernels, hints of mango and spice. This feels very harmonious and focused, demonstrating impressive depth on the flinty finish. This is a very impressive Pouilly-Fuissé from one of its most historic and now rejuvenated vineyards. Tasted at Field, Morris & Verdin’s annual tasting in London. - Neal Martin, Vinous Media Learn More

- Remoissenet Ladoix Blanc 1er Cru Les Gréchons 2021$69.98Availability:In Stock
Are we going to tell you it’s like Corton Charlemagne for one-third the price? No, but more from the standpoint of nuance than quality. Facing east, ’Gréchons’ sits at an altitude on the eastern side of the historic hill of Corton. The site’s chalky soils, rich in fossilized material, is noble, indeed, and many of the wine's descriptors are quite similar. The nose is abundantly floral, with the high points of spice and hazelnut and an element that is both citrusy and slightly honied at the same time.
In the mouth, there is a broad, well packed band of fruit that boasts surprising palate authority. A top Corton Charlie might hit a note or two higher at the top of the range, but this stunning white has deceptive power and presence and could easily hold its own in a scrum. That ‘buttered kernel’ element that defines Corton Charlemagne is evident in this wine as well, but there is also a subtle streak that might call to mind a topflight Meursault, which adds tremendous interest to the core of white peach and Meyer lemon fruit. A tremendously engaging and satisfying mouthful that lingers thanks to its intensity of flavor and body.

92-94 Points! A benchmark for the appellation, Lorenzon's 2020 Montagny 1er Cru Le Choix du Roi offers up notions of Meyer lemon, warm bread, beeswax and white flowers, followed by a medium to full-bodied, seamless and precise palate that's weightless but intense, with a compelling sense of completeness and a long, saline finish. This will be worth a special effort to seek out. - William Kelley, robertparker.com

The Domaine Bart Marsannay Le Grands VIns 2020 leans a little ‘redder’ than some of its stablemates fruit-wise with some higher tones to the aromatics. This is a mix of purchased fruit from the Grande Chatelaine vineyard, which may only be sold as Côte de Beaune, and declassified fruit from some Drouhin’s own Beaune 1er Cru vines. So great value! Rich bright purple, with a super-seductive yet fresh bouquet. Energy and finesse together. Has its own distinct label within the family of Clos des Mouches. Superb weight of smooth red fruit right across the palate and very good length.- Jasper Morris
Drouhin's 2019 Côte de Beaune goes from strength to strength. Consisting substantially of declassified Beaune premiers crus, it bursts from the glass with notes of raspberries, cherries, plums and petals. Medium to full-bodied, supple and enveloping, with melting tannins and succulent acids, it's an immensely charming red that exemplifies the appeal of the vintage. - William Kelley, robertparker.com

The 2022 Pouilly-Fuissé Clos la Verchère La Maréchaude 1er Cru comes from limestone and marn soils that Julien Barraud explained are structured like a millefeuille for six meters, ergo, very resistant to hydric stress. This has a precise and focused bouquet with yellow fruit, lanolin, desiccated orange peel and pressed white flower scents. The palate is medium-bodied with a very elegant opening.
