- Domaine Cabirau Maury Sec First Things First 2015 1.5L MagnumJD94WA93Special Price $49.98 Regular Price $99.98Availability:In Stock94 Points! The first vintage of the new flagship 2015 Maury Sec First Things First is a parcel selection and a blend of 60% Grenache, 22% Carignan and 18% Syrah that spent just under two years in foudre. Another brilliant wine from this estate, it showed brilliantly from barrel and now from bottle. Black raspberries, dried flowers, exotic spice, and candied orange blossom all flow to a medium to full-bodied, spicy, elegant, seamless beauty that has building tannin, impeccable balance and a great finish. It needs a decant if drinking anytime soon and will be even better with another year in bottle. - Jeb DunnuckLearn More
- Bondle Red Wine from Olivier Pithon 2017 1.5L MagnumSpecial Price $76.98 Regular Price $109.98Availability:In Stock
Discover a rare gem. It’s not every day that you come across a pure carignan wine from low-yield 100-year-old vines grown on the distinct terroir of a limestone plateau. Hand harvested, organic, and biodynamic, this medium-bodied wine is a real crowd-pleaser. Concentrated notes of red fruit meld with licorice and spice to create an incredibly silky and refined finish. Rich in umami and with an approachable earthiness.

94 Points! The red from this estate is also more than notable. Based on Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep ruby/plum color of the 2020 Limoux is followed by classic Bordeaux-like aromatics of ripe darker cherries, smoked tobacco, damp earth, and cedar pencil, with some background chocolaty oak nicely integrated. Reminding me of a Pomerol from a ripe vintage, it holds onto rock-solid purity of fruit, has a seamless mouthfeel, ripe, polished tannins, and a great finish. This head-turning red from the south of France is one of those beauties that will shock you in a blind tasting. It should keep for at least a decade. - Jeb Dunnuck
94 Points! Lots of blackberries, dark chocolate, stone, and hazelnut. Lots of purple fruits. Full-bodied with polished tannins and a smoky, meaty and fruity finish. Very solid. Merlot, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, syrah and malbec. Drink after 2025. - JamesSuckling.com
- La Colline Aux Fossiles Chardonnay 2021$13.98Availability:In Stock
How do I say that this wine is even better than Jean-Marc Lafage and Eric Solomon's Novellum project? Oops, I just did. This is serious Chard from Lafage and Solomon, sourced from a single vineyard of old vines on deep red clay soils and alluvial gravels with, yes, fossils mixed in...
Learn MoreHURRY, ONLY 12 LEFT! - Clos del Rey IGP Cotes Catalanes L'Espicata 2021$19.98Availability:In Stock
This is 100% Grenache from 50-year-old vines planted in black schist and marl soils. The grapes are harvested by hand, the yield is a very low 23 hl/ha, and the wines are fermented under temperature-controlled conditions. Think about what you’d pay for some California vintner’s ‘limited’ Grenache (probably $30-40) and realize that this refined little gem sells for less than $20. Aged for 12 months in concrete, there’s a rich mouthfeel but sense of precision and purity to the mineral-laced cherry fruit, rose petal and earth tones. Round texture, loads of personality and complexity for this kind of price, the 2020 was a Wine Advocate 93 (this 2021 just arrived and is as yet unreviewed) so you know we are talking serious juice at a not so serious price.

From the importer: Cinsault is one of those overlooked grapes most usually consigned to oblivion as rosé. In the skilled hands of the Jourdans, however, it proves to be a wine of irresistible charm. The color is light, to be sure, but the heady strawberry scent is beguiling and the 40 year-old vines lend to the palate a startling intensity of sweet fruit flavour, cloaked in the gentlest imaginable veil of silk.

Learn More - Domaine Rosier Cuvee Jean Philippe Brut Blanquette di Limoux 2022$12.98Availability:In StockThe vines from which this seductive blanquette originate are located on the hills to the west of Limoux, and more specifically in the commune of Villelongue d’Aude, an ancient fortified village constructed in a ‘circulade’ (a traditional village of the area built in concentric circles). In this Terroir, situated at an altitude of 300 meters, the softer oceanic climate is ideal for the production of the most aromatic white cépages of the appellation. This pale gold blanquette releases fine, regular bubbles, together with an intense perfume of Williams pears and honeysuckle. Lively and full-bodied, as it reaches the mouth, it releases a taste of toasted bread with a hint of honey. All together it is remarkably well balanced, smooth and fresh. Learn More

91 Points! A blend of Grenache and Syrah, generally in about a 4:1 ratio, the 2020 IGP Cotes Catalanes Narassa features appealing, complex aromas of violets and plummy fruit, reminiscent of blackberries and blueberries. Picked as two separate harvests—one in September and one in November—and then blended, this is full-bodied, richly concentrated and fleshy, with a velvety finish that shows a touch of warmth. It's winter-weight wine, for sure. - Joe Czerwinski, robertparker.com
