  1. Casa Castillo Jumilla Las Gravas 2015
    WA94
    $26.98
    Availability:In Stock
94 Points!  The 2015 Las Gravas is a classic Mediterranean blend of Monastrell with 15% each Garnacha and Syrah, with 15% alcohol after fermenting with part of full clusters and indigenous grapes and aging in used oak barrels for 19 months. 2015 is the last vintage that Las Gravas has some Syrah, as it adds some sweet fruit he wants to avoid. However, it shows fresh within the balsamic profile, with plenty of rosemary and thyme notes combined with floral undertones and the character of the esparto grass and tree bark that are textbook deors of the variety. - Luis Gutierrez, robertparker.com

  2. Lopez de Heredia Rioja Vina Tondonia Reserva 2006
    WA95
    $39.98
    Availability:Out of Stock
95 Points!  The red flagship 2006 Viña Tondonia Reserva was inspired by the vineyards of the Médoc but produced with local grapes, 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacho, 5% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo, which achieved 13% alcohol in 2006. It always matures in used American oak barriques for some six years. The oldest of all the reds I tasted, it was also the one with more freshness, which speaks to the quality of the vineyard. - Luis Gutierrez, robertparker.com

  3. Torre de Ona Rioja Reserva Finca Martelo 2014
    WA94
    $34.98
    Availability:In Stock
94 Points!  The 2014 Martelo is produced with the grapes from their oldest vines, mostly Tempranillo, put through a cold soak after alcoholic fermentation then in barrique for a slow malolactic fermentation of 96 days. This was followed by an élevage in 80% American and 20% French oak barrels for two years, during which time it was racked four times. It has incredible aromatics with surprising notes of beef blood, iron and meat with tons of fruit, as Martelo is the vineyard where they find more fruit. This is a very elegant, aromatic and fine Rioja (they decided to bottle it in a Burgundy bottle) and it's not a coincidence, because that is what they are looking for. The palate follows the same path of finesse, balance and freshness. A very impressive Rioja. Bravo! - Luis Gutierrez, robertparker.com

  4. Raul Perez Bierzo La Vizcaina El Rapolao 2016
    WA95
    $31.98
    Availability:In Stock
95+ Points!  The cool and elegant character of the El Rapolao plot seems to have been amplified by the weather conditions in the 2016 La Vizcaína El Rapolao. Pérez does not own all the vineyards, so sourcing can sometimes vary within the same vineyard, and since 2016 it comes from two old plots where the Mencía is mixed with other varieties; the wine seems to have gained in depth and complexity as a result. In 2016 he did a slightly shorter maceration and matured the wine in 500-liter oak barrels for a little over 12 months. The vineyard yields well, and the wine is always expressive, balanced and elegant. It seems like slightly higher yields suit it better, and the wines have good tension and an herbal twist that adds to the complexity and freshness. - Luis Gutierrez, robertparker.com

  5. Raul Perez Bierzo Ultreia St. Jacques 2017
    DEC93
    WA93
    $17.98
    Availability:In Stock
93 Points!  The clean, floral and 2017 Ultreia Saint Jacques comes mostly from old vineyards from different soils in Valtuille and Villadecanes fermented in stainless steel and oak vats with part of full clusters and matured in used barriques for one year. It's produced in a fresh and very drinkable way. This is one of the best values from Bierzo and Spain, and a great introduction to Bierzo. It's a more serious wine than what the wine was when it was first produced, fresh and elegant. It's very reliable and a great value. - Luis Gutierrez, robertparker.com

    WA91
    VM92
    $13.98

92 Points! Opaque ruby. Aromas of blackberry, blueberry, lavender and vanilla are complemented by a smoky mineral overtone. Weighty yet energetic on the palate, offering appealingly sweet dark berry flavors along with suave floral pastille and spicecake nuances. Smooth and seamless in style, finishing with repeating spiciness, supple tannins and lingering florality. 7. Turonia Albarino Rias Baixas 2017
    WS91
    $16.98
    Availability:Out of Stock
91 Points! Flinty and briny notes give this firm white a distinctly mineral character. Peach and ginger details and leesy flavors fill this out. Quite rich, but remains balanced and energetic. Drink now through 2023. - Wine Spectator Learn More
  8. Bodegas Ordonez Triton Tinta de Toro 2016
    JD93
    JS92
    $16.98
    Availability:In Stock
93 Points!  The larger production cuvée from Ordonez, the 2016 Tinta de Toro Tritón (100% Tinta de Toro) comes all from very old, ungrafted vineyards and was brought up mostly in used barrels. This beautifully sexy red boasts smoking good notes of ripe plums, black cherries, liquid violets, and loads of scrub brush and dried earth. Full-bodied and silky on the palate, with fine, fine tannin, it has remarkable purity, no hard edges, and enough structure to warrant another year in bottle. It’s a seriously impressive wine. - Jeb Dunnuck

  9. Dominio del Aguila Picaro Ribera del Duero Vinas Viejas 2016
    WA93
    $27.98
    Availability:In Stock
93+ Points!  The youngest of the released wines I tasted is a red—the 2016 Pícaro del Águila Tinto. It is from what they consider to be one of the best and freshest vintages in recent times. This is produced with the vines from the warmer parts of La Aguilera, a cold place to start with (and in a cooler year). The old vines are planted with a mix that is dominated by Tempranillo but also contains some 5% other grapes. All the grapes are picked and fermented together with full clusters and natural yeasts in concrete and stainless steel vats. It matured in oak barrels for 13 months. This is fragrant, expressive, open, aromatic and really attractive. The palate is really balanced, with great freshness, fine tannins and a very pleasant mouthfeel—supple, balanced and with great depth. This is the best version of this bottling so far, and it seems like 2016 could be a great overall vintage, based on some other wines I sampled from cask (many of them have an extended élevage). - Luis Gutierrez, robertparker.com

  10. Comando G La Bruja De Rozas Garnacha 2016
    WA93
    $23.98
    Availability:In Stock
93 Points!  The first wine to be released from what is surely their finest vintage to date was the 2016 La Bruja de Rozas, a blend from different plots in the village of Las Rozas de Puerto Real in the province of Madrid. I first had it at a restaurant and was simply blown away and ran to buy a few cases for my cellar. This is ethereal, weightless but powerful, intense, transparent, with beautiful aromatics and a silky texture, with the grainy minerality of the granite soils. It's long, pure, available and affordable. It has to be one of the best value wines found in Spain today. Drinkable, in fact, gulpable today, but with the potential to develop in bottle. Bravo, bravo and bravo! - Luis Gutierrez, robertparker.com

91 Points! This highly perfumed, mineral-driven Spanish bubbly shows wonderful clarity and tension, with no excess weight. Emphatically dry and lively in style, the 2016 offers powerful citrus and orchard fruit character, a suave floral note and impressive, stony persistence. - Josh Raynolds, Vinous Media Learn More
  12. Sierra Cantabria Rioja Reserva Unica 2014
    WS92
    VM92
    $23.98

92 Points!  (aged for two years in 60% French and 40% American oak barrels, 30% new) Brilliant ruby-red. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes red fruit preserves, potpourri and incense, with a smoky mineral overtone that gains strength as the wine opens up. Sappy and focused on the palate, offering juicy raspberry, cherry and spicecake flavors that put on weight with air. Shows excellent precision on the clinging finish, which features sweet red fruit liqueur and floral elements and harmonious, silky tannins.

  14. Terroir Al Limit Priorat Arbossar 2014
    JS92
    WA94
Special Price $59.98 Regular Price $90.00
    Availability:In Stock
94 Points! The 2014 Arbossar is old-vine Cariñena from a north-facing slope (coster), fermented with natural yeast and matured in an oak foudre from Stockinger until bottling in June 2016. This is always a lighter colored, perfumed Cariñena, with the freshness of a north exposure, which in the warmer 2014 feels a little riper and certainly with a lot more tannins than the 2013. The idea for this wine is to ferment it and age it in cement, and remove the oak totally; this will happen from the 2015 vintage. - Luis Gutierrez, Wine Advocate

  15. Pingus Ribera del Duero Flor de Pingus 2016
    JS96
    WA93-95
    $89.98
    Availability:In Stock
93-95 Points! The paradox of 2016 is that it was a warm year, but the resulting wines have great freshness, which also happened in 1996 (one of my favorite old vintages of Pingus). The yields were higher, which brought more freshness to the wines; and the wines are airier and not as compact as, for example, 2015. In fact, what they have been doing for some time now is to work in viticulture—the pruning and what you do with the canopy—to achieve slightly higher yields and get the plants to balance, because as you increase the yields, the ripening takes longer. Even though it's young, this shows amazing perfume that should bloom with a year in bottle. This has all the signals to become one of the greatest vintages of Flor de Pingus. - Luis Gutierrez, Wine Advocate
