  1. Sierra Cantabria Rioja Reserva Unica 2014
    WS92
    VM92
    $23.98
    Availability:In Stock
92 Points!  (aged for two years in 60% French and 40% American oak barrels, 30% new) Brilliant ruby-red. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes red fruit preserves, potpourri and incense, with a smoky mineral overtone that gains strength as the wine opens up. Sappy and focused on the palate, offering juicy raspberry, cherry and spicecake flavors that put on weight with air. Shows excellent precision on the clinging finish, which features sweet red fruit liqueur and floral elements and harmonious, silky tannins.

  2. Pago de Carraovejas Ribera Del Duero 2015
    WA92
    $47.98
    Availability:Out of Stock
93 Points!  The 2015 Ribera del Duero is a blend of mostly Tempranillo yet includes 6% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Merlot, all brought up in French oak. It has a rockingly good bouquet of blueberries, violets, and spice. This carries to a full-bodied, sexy wine that has no hard edges, a seamless texture, outstanding purity of fruit, and a big finish. It’s a serious wine that I suspect is capable of keeping for 10-15 years. - Jeb Dunnuck

  4. Ramirez de la Piscina Rioja Gran Reserva 2010
    JD93
    JS94
    $33.98
    Availability:Out of Stock
93 Points! The 2010 Gran Reserva is 100% Tempranillo from vineyards in Abalos and San Vicente de la Sonsierra that spent 24 months in new French and American oak. It's a deep, inky effort that's loaded with notions of blackcurrants, scorched earth, graphite, and lead pencil. Concentrated, rich, and full-bodied on the palate, with an awesome, expansive texture and sweet tannin, it's a seriously good, rich, concentrated effort that's going to benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and cruise for 10-15 years in the cellar. - Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com

  5. Terroir Al Limit Priorat Arbossar 2014
    JS92
    WA94
Special Price $59.98 Regular Price $90.00
    Availability:In Stock
94 Points! The 2014 Arbossar is old-vine Cariñena from a north-facing slope (coster), fermented with natural yeast and matured in an oak foudre from Stockinger until bottling in June 2016. This is always a lighter colored, perfumed Cariñena, with the freshness of a north exposure, which in the warmer 2014 feels a little riper and certainly with a lot more tannins than the 2013. The idea for this wine is to ferment it and age it in cement, and remove the oak totally; this will happen from the 2015 vintage. - Luis Gutierrez, Wine Advocate

  6. Pingus Ribera del Duero Flor de Pingus 2016
    WA93
    $89.98
    Availability:In Stock
93-95 Points! The paradox of 2016 is that it was a warm year, but the resulting wines have great freshness, which also happened in 1996 (one of my favorite old vintages of Pingus). The yields were higher, which brought more freshness to the wines; and the wines are airier and not as compact as, for example, 2015. In fact, what they have been doing for some time now is to work in viticulture—the pruning and what you do with the canopy—to achieve slightly higher yields and get the plants to balance, because as you increase the yields, the ripening takes longer. Even though it's young, this shows amazing perfume that should bloom with a year in bottle. This has all the signals to become one of the greatest vintages of Flor de Pingus. - Luis Gutierrez, Wine Advocate

  10. Lopez de Heredia Rioja Vina Tondonia Gran Reserva 1970
    WA97
    VM94
    $299.98
    Availability:In Stock
97 Points! The 1970 Vina Tondonia Gran Reserva has a wonderful bouquet that transports you directly to the vineyard: scents of gravel, wild mushroom, cherries and dusty attic. The palate is beautifully balanced with fine tannins and thrilling, almost rapier-like acidity. There are notes of decayed red berry fruit, sour lemon, rosemary and sage. The finish is rustic but so full of energy, with hints of orange peel on the finish. Wonderful. Drink now-2020+ - Neal Martin, Wine Advocate

  11. Venus La Universal Monstant Dido 2016
    JS92
    WA93
    $20.98
    Availability:In Stock
93 Points! The red 2016 Dido has the ripeness and depth of the 2015 but with extra freshness that makes it go an extra mile in length. It has the complex mix of grapes, mostly Garnacha with Syrah and perhaps 10% of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, and the different soils, as it comes from different vineyards in different parts of the appellation.  - Luis Gutierrez, Wine Advocate

  12. Cooperativa Cristo del Humilladero Garnacha Granitos de Cadalso 2017
    WA90
    $13.98
    Availability:In Stock
90-91 Points!  This is a joint venture between the cooperative of Cadalso de los Vidrios Cooperative and Comando G. 2016 was a cool and balanced year that provided ideal ripeness. The wine fermented in concrete vats were it was kept for some seven months until bottling. This is the private bottling for European Cellars, a US importer, but a similar wine might be offered under other names. As I was anticipating, this 2016 was even more impressive than 2015. This is a true Gredos wine with incredible aromatics, granite, altitude and Garnacha, a spice market in Marrakesh! The palate is as impressive as the nose, with focused, clean flavors, tension and the textured structure provided by the granite. More elegant and even deeper than the 2015, it's super tasty and long. This was the final blend waiting to be bottled in a couple of weeks, but the final wine should be pretty similar to what I tasted. - Luis Gutierrez, robertparker.com
