  2. Gilles Troullier Cotes Catalanes L'Esprit du Temps 2009
    JD95
Special Price $19.98 Regular Price $45.00
    Availability:In Stock
95 Points!  Coming primarily from a two hectare plot of 80-100+ year-old vines, the 2009 Domaine Gilles Troullier Vin de Pays des Côtes Catalanes L'esprit du temps is an awesome wine! Made from 100% Grenache and aged 12 months in older demi-muids, its inky purple color is followed by a full-bodied, decadent wine that’s loaded with notions of black cherries, new saddle leather, licorice, and copious spice and spice-box like aromas. Incredibly pure and fresh on the palate, with superb underlying structure and a great finish, this blockbuster effort needs another year or three in the cellar, and will thrill for 12-15 years. It’s a seriously good bottle of wine and readers need to get on this producer’s bandwagon. - Jeb Dunnuck, Rhone Report

  3. Lafage Cotes du Roussillon Bastide Miraflors Vieilles Vignes 2016
    JD94
    $12.98
    Availability:In Stock
94 Points!  A wine that almost always over-delivers, the 2016 Côtes du Roussillon Bastide Miraflors is, I suspect, the finest vintage for this cuvée to date (it’s in the same league as the off-the-charts 2015). A blend of 80% Syrah and 20% Grenache from Lesquerde and Saint Martin de Fenouillet (both in the northern part of the Roussillon), aged all in older barrels and concrete tanks, it boasts rockstar notes of ripe blackberry fruits, spice, dried garrigue, and hints of chocolate. Possessing a full-bodied, layered mouthfeel, sweet tannins, and sensational purity, it’s another one of those values that almost seems too good to be true. Drink it any time over the coming 3-4 years. - Jeb Dunnuck

    JD90
    $12.98

90 Points!  A clean, balanced, crisp white that delivers crushed citrus, mint, and hints of stony minerality, the 2017 Côtes du Roussillon Les Vignes de Bila Haut Blanc is medium-bodied, fresh and lively, with beautiful depth of fruit married to bright acidity and obvious minerality. It's another wine that over-delivers at the price. A blend of 50% Grenache Blanc, 20% Macabeau, and the rest Roussanne, Marsanne, and Vermentino, drink it over the coming year or two. - Jeb Dunnuck

  5. Bila-Haut (Chapoutier) Cotes Du Roussillon Villages Les Vignes de Bila-Haut Rouge 2017
    JD92
    $12.98
    Availability:In Stock
92 Points!  The 2017 Côtes du Roussillon Villages Les Vignes de Bila Haut reminds me of an impressive St Joseph (despite having lots of Grenache in the blend) with its black raspberry, white pepper, and leafy herb aromas and flavors. It's seamless, elegant, and balanced, with both acidity and richness. Put this in a blind lineup of Northern Rhônes and shock your friends.  - Jeb Dunnuck

    Availability:In Stock
93-95 Points!  The 2015 AOP Cotes du Roussillon Villages Tautavel Silex could end up being a true blockbuster and is certainly up with the crème de la crème of the vintage. Based on 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Carignan, from more than 50-year-old vines and aged all in tank, it offers a full-bodied, ripe and sexy style to go with classic notes of cassis, pepper and graphite, with building minerality. It’s a seriously good wine that tastes like it costs three times its going rate. - Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate

  7. VTV Cotes du Roussillon Villages Tautavel Vingt Marches 2015
    WA93
    $19.98
    Availability:In Stock
93 Points! The 2015 Cotes du Roussillon Villages Tautavel Les Vingt Marches is a hidden gem in this vintage. Made from mostly Syrah, with 20% Grenache and 10% Carignan, this full-bodied, deep and voluptuously textured red is loaded with notions of plums, violets and spice, with some Syrah meatiness developing with air. Completely destemmed and aged all in tank, I’d enjoy bottles over the coming 4-6 years. - Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate

  9. Saint Roch Maury Sec Kerbuccio 2015
    JD94
    $19.98
    Availability:In Stock
94 Points!  Sporting a deep, inky color, the 2015 Maury Sec Kerbuccio is fabulous stuff, as well as a smoking value. Blackberry jam, roasted herbs, black licorice, tapenade and saddle leather give way to a rich, concentrated, seamless red that has moderate acidity, sweet tannin and a great finish. The blend is 80% Grenache and 20% Carignan, aged in 50% new demi-muids, and as I said when I tasted it from barrel, it’s heavenly juice that tastes like it cost three times its price. - Jeb Dunnuck

  10. Domaine Cabirau Maury Sec First Things First 2015
    WA93
    $29.98
    Availability:In Stock
93-96 Points!  A new cuvee from Dan Kravitz, the 2015 Maury Sec First Things First is a blend of 60% Grenache, 22% Carignan and 18% Syrah that had 75% of the crop brought in at the “correct” time, and 25% brought in over a week later due to broken equipment in the cellar...it offers sensational notes of black raspberries, cassis, violets and graphite as well as full-bodied richness, ultra-fine tannin and an undeniable sexiness that makes it already impossible to resist. Count me a fan and I’d suggest breaking more equipment during harvest in the future as well (or just harvest later). - Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate #230
