  1. Mas de Daumas Gassac Rosé Frizant 2018

Importer notes: This unique sparkling wine is made from bleeding the vats of the Domaine red, fermenting it until almost dry and bottling to capture the natural spritz from the fermentation. The nose shows notes of violets, cherries and other red fruit while in the mouth it has nice mineral expression, crisp red fruit and nice fresh acidity. Low in alcohol (11%), this is the ideal summer picnic sparkler and is very food friendly. Learn More

  3. Mas Conscience Cinsault IGP St. Guilhem Le Desert Ciel Cieux 2018
    $19.98
    Availability:In Stock
My proselytizing on behalf of Cinsault when I last visited here (and tasted the Vidals on Sylvain Fadat's Les Servieres) was so convincing - at least, to hear Laurent Vidal tell it - that when a short while later a parcel of 50 year old Cinsault very near to his oldest Carignan came up for sale, he saw it as something of a sign; took the bait; and made these grapes the soloist in a new cuvee, 2010 Cieux. - Robert Parker, 2011 Learn More

    WA93
    $19.98

Like all the wines from this estate, it has lots of richness and texture, yet stays balanced, lively and pure. It's a year in and year out value that's a no-brainer purchase. It will drink beautifully over the coming 4-5 years (possibly even longer). - Jeb Dunnuck, robertparker.com Learn More

This beauty offers killer notes of blueberries, blackberries, peppery herbs, earth, and graphite. It’s going to benefit from a year or two of bottle age and keep through 2026. - Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com Learn More
  6. Mas de Daumas Gassac Picpoul de Pinet 2018
    $11.98
    Availability:In Stock
Importer notes: From vineyards very near the oyster beds on the Mediterranean sea, this wine is a classic example of why Picpoul is known as the "Southern Muscadet". Intriguing, briny mineral notes in both the nose and mouth provide the perfect backdrop for fish and shellfish. Some melon and citrus flavors keep you coming back for more and the crisp acidity assures that your palate does not tire from this zesty wine. The Guibert family were approached a few years back by the owner of this fine five hectare site very near the village of Picpoul, just a stone's throw from the sea. The soil is limestone and gravel, and the higher elevation and proximity to the cool sea breezes make for a wine with excellent freshness. Picked in the early hours of the morning, the grapes are then fermented by the Daumas Gassac team in stainless steel tanks and left on their lees for 3-5 months. Learn More

  11. Saint Roch Cotes du Roussillon Villages Chimeres 2016
    WA91
    $14.98

  12. Domaine Rosier Cuvee Jean Philippe Brut Blanquette di Limoux 2017
    $9.98
    Availability:In Stock
Our Go-To year-round sparkler for $10!  The vines from which this seductive blanquette originate are located on the hills to the west of Limoux, and more specifically in the commune of Villelongue d’Aude, an ancient fortified village constructed in a ‘circulade’ (a traditional village of the area built in concentric circles). In this Terroir, situated at an altitude of 300 meters, the softer oceanic climate is ideal for the production of the most aromatic wines of the appellation. This pale gold blanquette releases fine, regular bubbles, together with an intense perfume of Williams pears and honeysuckle. Lively and full-bodied, as it reaches the mouth, it releases a taste of toasted bread with a hint of honey. All together it is remarkably well balanced, smooth and fresh.

    JD95
Special Price $19.98 Regular Price $45.00

95 Points!  Coming primarily from a two hectare plot of 80-100+ year-old vines, the 2009 Domaine Gilles Troullier Vin de Pays des Côtes Catalanes L'esprit du temps is an awesome wine! Made from 100% Grenache and aged 12 months in older demi-muids, its inky purple color is followed by a full-bodied, decadent wine that’s loaded with notions of black cherries, new saddle leather, licorice, and copious spice and spice-box like aromas. Incredibly pure and fresh on the palate, with superb underlying structure and a great finish, this blockbuster effort needs another year or three in the cellar, and will thrill for 12-15 years. It’s a seriously good bottle of wine and readers need to get on this producer’s bandwagon. - Jeb Dunnuck, Rhone Report
