92-94 Points! "Excellent" - Neal Martin
From vines planted in 1954, purchased from the Marey-Monge family in 1926. Divided since by family sharing, this enclosure, surrounded by walls (up to 4 meters high!) is in a situation of terraces facing south. Very steep, with 20% slope, the vines are cultivated by hand and give a wine with a great color, a concentrated and pleasant nose, and supple tannins.

91-93 Points Neal Martin! "Quite a 'serious' Pommard..." Le Clos des Charmots is situated on a slope, just north of the village, exposed fully to the south/south-east, this historic enclosure was planted in the 1930s and achieves a delightful maturity owing to its unique exposure both to the east and to the south. Surrounded by a stone wall, Le Clos des Charmots is an old vine (60+ years) of Pinot Noir planted in 1901 and 1925.

Absolute stunner! I enjoyed this wine at my anniversary dinner, what a treat. Direct from the Gaunoux cellars, the 2008 Pommard Epenots is 'there', an absolute delight, vinified and aged exclusively in stainless steel, the transparency of fruit and terroir here is haunting...what a deal...

Demougeot’s Pommard has a good balance of characteristics drawn from two very different village parcels. A blend of unusual names, La Rue au Porc and En Boeuf, in English could be looselytranslated as Pork Street and In Beef—wines apparently good with food... La Rue au Porc was planted in 1948 and is composed of deep clay and limestone rock topsoil—the muscle and weight of the wine. En Boeuf is in the Grande Combe, a somewhat narrow valley far to the west of the appellation on the north hill facing south on a steep slope of shallow rocky topsoil all closer to forests and in the direct path of colder winds from the countryside to the west, presenting almost a complete contrast to La Rue au Porc. Planted in 1979, the position of these vines balances the wine with mineral, tension, cut and lift.

90-92 Points! Supplemented by old vines formerly belonging to Domaine Newman that happen to be adjacent to Dugat-Py's parcel, the 2019 Pommard La Levrière unwinds in the glass with aromas of dark berries, woodsmoke, rich soil tones, espresso roast and spices. Medium to full-bodied, muscular and layered, it's deep and concentrated, framed by velvety tannins and lively acids. - William Kelley, robertparker.com

The 2019 Pommard Clos des Arvelets 1er Cru was originally owned en totale by the family’s great grandmother and comes from vines planted in the Sixties. It has an expressive bouquet with vibrant raspberry, wild strawberry and crushed rock aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. This has a fine bead of acidity, one of the domaine’s fleshier contributions to the vintage with a pinch of white pepper on the finish. Very fine. - Neal Martin, Vinous Media Learn MoreHURRY, ONLY 5 LEFT!
- Yvon Clerget Pommard 1er Cru Les Rugiens 2018NM93-95VM93-95$129.98Availability:In Stock93-95 Points! Matured with 20% whole bunch and the same level of new oak, the 2018 Pommard Les Rugiens 1er Cru has an elegant, refined bouquet that gradually unfurls to reveal blackberry, briar and light wild strawberry scents, the stems lending a little pepperiness. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins and very well-judged acidity. Delivers impressive tension and structure toward the linear, very persistent finish. This is an outstanding Les Rugiens, one of the best you will find this vintage. - Neal Martin, Vinous Media Learn MoreHURRY, ONLY 4 LEFT!
- Joseph Voillot Pommard 1er Cru Les Pezerolles 2017BH91DEC92NM92-94VM92-94$89.98Availability:Out of Stock92-94 Points! The 2017 Pommard Les Pezerolles 1er Cru is a little richer than the Les Epenots with more forward raspberry, wild strawberry and a light brine-like influence that gains traction with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, impressive depth of fruit but the terroir shines through. The finish is beautifully defined with a touch of spice and pain d’épices on the finish. Winemaker Jean-Pierre Charlot told me that this is his favourite cru in 2017...I can see exactly why. - Neal Martin, Vinous Media Learn More
