From the Distillery: Our very first bottling of The GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength happened by chance. In 2017, whilst reviewing parcels of stock from 2007 and 2008, our Master Distiller Billy Walker was so delighted by the balance and depth of the samples that he immediately decided to add a younger expression to our core range.

The GlenAllachie Cask Strength Batch 7 is a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons along with a small quantity of Virgin Oak and Rioja casks. The resulting whisky bursts with indulgent notes of of ripe plums, dark chocolate and sticky raisins, all coupled with classic GlenAllachie honeyed charm.

Batch 7 is bottled at 56.8%, non chill filtered and natural colour.

Rich Mahogany.

NOSE
Waves of heather honey, dried fruit, cinnamon and nutmeg, followed by orange peel, mocha and treacle.

TASTE
Lashings of dark chocolate, figs and heather honey, with raisins, cinnamon, plums and hints of orange zest.

The 2020 Fierroca takes the name from two words, "fierro"( which means iron) and "roca" (which means rock"), the components of the soils here. The grapes have less color but lots of grip, and the wine is floral, elegant, terribly balanced, tasty and ripe without excess, with a velvety texture and long, pure fresh and fine flavors.
