A London Dry Gin developed by Elena Penna Currado and Luca Currado Vietti of the iconic Piedmont-based Vietti winery. Elena Gin is a spirit of regional provenance and features native botanicals from the Italian Alps of Piedmont including juniper berries, almonds, Langhe thyme, coriander seeds, black elderflower, Angelica, wild mint, chamomile, cassia bark, and the peel and flowers of organically-grown citrus fruits from the Ligurian hills bordering Piedmont. Made in small batches, Elena Gin is produced using two heirloom wood-fired pot stills from the 18th century that were refurbished for production. Elena Gin is made in the “one shot” method, where the delicate botanicals are only used once to highlight the aromatic compounds at their finest. The native botanicals are gently infused in the pot stills, and then the gin is lightly filtered using natural paper, leaving the final liquid with a subtle yellow hue. Learn More

From the Producer: How to describe our American Dry Gin? Liquor.com called it “an aromatic powerhouse.” We can get behind that. The main punch comes from juniper (naturally) but with a creative twist. We add nine botanicals to a base spirit distilled from organic grown wheat. The uniqueness of our distillation process creates a bright, vibrant and nuanced gin that is a perfect balance between our herbal, floral and citrus components: elderflower, cinnamon and chamomile. It’s a mix unlike any other. 47% ABV 94 Points (Outstanding) Tasting Panel Magazine

A distinctive gin, with a straw yellow color, rich in perfumes and hints, firstly of herbs and then spicy; a complex taste, but simple at the same time, because balanced and smooth. The aroma smells predominantly of juniper, while alcoholic tones are almost absent. The taste is balanced and delicate with hints of herbs, citrus and spicy; none of them is predominant, but it is rather a symphony of flavors.

From the producer: To make this extraordinary gin, we forage wild plants in the mountains around the distillery. What we pick goes fresh into the still within hours of foraging. All the plants are sustainably picked by our full time forager, every day we distill. We take a lot of care that we don't adversely affect the areas we find them in. That means sometimes using scissors rather than picking to make sure roots aren't pulled, or maybe skipping a few before picking the next one, or finding different patches of the same plant, to make sure an area isn't over-foraged.Our aim is to leave no trace that we were ever there. It's harder work but worth it to keep the mountains beautiful and wild. Then these wild botanicals are painstakingly slow-distilled to tease out delicate flavours, in very small batches of less than 250 liters. Some go in the pot, and some are hung in a basket to let vapours extract their essential oils. The cut-points are decided batch by batch, by smell and taste (never timed or automated) as if each batch is the first. This brings the flavour our Wild Gin to a whole other level. The knowledge, experience and man-hours in each bottle are what make this liquid so special.

Get ready, wine-lovers: this unusual rosy gin is made from a rye base, infused with gin botanicals, and then is “rested” for 18 months in casks that previously held Syrah and Grenache wines. Oddly, the end result is not particularly wine-, whiskey-, nor gin-like. It's a whole other animal, crazily hoppy and malty and oaky, with a mild effervescence and an amaro-like roots-and-herbs presence that winds into a rounded but fleeting dark-fruit quality on the finish. Try dosing with sweet vermouth for a Manhattan-like cocktail. - Wine Enthusiast
