  1. Chateau d'Yquem Sauternes 2011

    $329.98
    Availability:In Stock
98 Points!- Luminous golden yellow. Cool, pure aromas of white peach, honeyed mango, guava nectar, white flowers and saffron are complicated by elements of crushed stone and spicy lemony botrytis. Suave and intensely flavored, with mineral-spiced apple, mango, passion fruit and grapefruit flavors offering outstanding purity, precision, and depth. The brisk but harmonious acidity gives this great Sauternes a penetrating quality and provides a powerful spine to the very deep flavors, making it seem less opulent than it really is. This Yquem has the depth of the 2007 but boasts even greater purity and focus. Finishes bright and extremely long, with repeating suggestions of white flowers and lemony botrytis. Though it lacks the depth of the 2001 or the opulence of the 2009 at a similar stage of development, this is one of my favorite young Yquems ever: it will age spectacularly well.-Vinous Media

  2. Suduiraut Sauternes 2017 Pre-Arrival
    JD95-97
    JS97-98
    VM94-97
    $69.98
95-97 Points! One of the finest Sauternes I was able to taste for this report was the 2017 Château Suduiraut, from an estate that was unaffected by the April frost. A rockstar blend of 94% Sémillon and 6% Sauvignon, aged in 50% new oak, it boasts a big, thrilling bouquet of orange blossom, honeysuckle, and pure botrytis-laced fruit. Seamless, incredibly polished and balanced on the palate, it has serious sweetness, yet just glides across the palate and is remarkably elegant. - Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com

95-97 Points! The 2017 Rieussec is a killer Sauternes that shows the fresh, chiseled style of the vintage while still packing awesome fruit. Huge notes of orange blossom, honeyed citrus, mints and exotic flowers flow to a full-bodied, viscous 2017 that has beautiful purity, a clean, perfectly balanced texture, integrated acidity and a great finish. It’s a rockstar effort. - Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com

  4. Chateau d'Yquem Sauternes 2015
    JS99
    WA98
    VM98
    $349.98
    Availability:In Stock
98-100 Points! The 2015 Château d'Yquem is a blend of 75% Semillon and 25% Sauvignon Blanc that was picked on the gravelly soils as early as 3 and 4 September until 21 October, four tries through the vineyard. It delivers 144 grams per liter of residual sugar, with six-grams of tartaric acid, a pH 3.65 and 13.9% alcohol. It has a show-stopping bouquet that is beautifully defined and very complex and exuberant, infused with greater mineralité than recent vintages - intense but not as flamboyant as say the 2009 Yquem at this stage. The palate boasts absolutely stunning balance. This is a Yquem without a hair out of place: fantastically pure, botrytised fruit caressing the mouth. That is as per normal. What distinguishes this Yquem is the sense of electricity that is imbued by that razor-sharp acidity. There is just unbelievably tension here and to be frank, there is little point in me continuing to write this note, because it is simply an astonishing Yquem that will rank alongside the 2001 and 2009. - Neal Martin, Wine Advocate #224

    WA92
    $39.98

92 points! Tasted blind at the 10-Year On Tasting in Sauternes. The 2005 Château de Rayne-Vigneau has a waxy, dried pineapple, honey and petrol-tinged bouquet that gains vigor in the glass. The palate is fresh and vibrant with plenty of botrytis: very harmonious with honeyed fruit laced with dried orange peel, quince and ginger. This builds extremely well in the mouth and fans out in glorious fashion on the finish. This is an excellent Sauternes that should give 20 or 30 years of pleasure.-Wine Advocate June, 2015

94 Points–Tropically ripe, with dense yet creamy layers of guava, mango, lychee and papaya, all stitched with racy lemon cream and candied grapefruit peel notes. Frangipane-framed finish pumps out wave after wave of unctuous fruit. Starting to hits its second gear, and with old-school Yquem power and muscle. Drink now through 2032. Wine Spectator

    $379.98

98 points!-Tasted single blind against its peers. Under blind conditions, the Yquem 2007 shines like a diamond. Nevertheless, it is initially rather taciturn on the nose, eventually opening up beautifully with touches of lemon curd, Mirabelle, and clear honey. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine definition and there seems to be a great deal of energy and vigor dispensed for your pleasure. There is such race and nervosity, and then that finish just purrs with harmony and focus. This Yquem feels just so alive and vivacious, yet there is an effortless quality here that is unmatched by its peers. Wine Advocate

  9. Doisy Vedrines Sauternes 2008
    WS91
    WA91
    $45.98
    Availability:In Stock
91 Points! -Tasted at the château, the 2008 Château Doisy-Védrines does not have the same fruit intensity as the previous two vintages on the nose and comes across more resinous and understated. The palate is crisp and vibrant on the entry and goes some way in compensating for the aromatics. The acidity is very well judged and there is impressive tension on the finish: orange sorbet and quince fanning out in assured fashion. Enjoy this over the next 15 to 20 years. Wine Advocate

96 Points! -tasted blind at the 10-Year On Tasting in Sauternes. The 2005 L’Extravagant de Doisy Daëne has 3.9grams of acidity, 192 grams per liter of residual sugar and 12.3% alcohol. The 2005 has a powerful bouquet with honey, mandarin, a touch of petrol and yellow flowers on the nose, later developing that seductive marzipan scent that draws you in like a tractor beam. The palate is unctuous in the mouth that is probably going to be sugar-coated for the next year or two, but there are some gorgeous peach and citrus notes that flourish on the finish. It is more a force of nature than a wine! -Neal Martin Wine Advocate

  11. Rieussec Sauternes 2010
    WA96
    NM96
    $48.98
    Availability:In Stock
96 Points! The 2010 Rieussec was missing a little intellect when I tasted it from barrel. Now in bottle it has become a contender for the finest Sauternes of the vintage. It is blessed with a pure and lifted bouquet with ripe peach, nectarine and honey, hints of shaved ginger poke their head above the surface with aeration. It is very subtle. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, perfectly judged acidity and convincing harmony. This is a sophisticated Sauternes with superb mineralite and outstanding persistency. I will confess that I pinned this as “Yquem” and was both shocked and pleased when its identity was revealed. Go buy. - Neil Martin, eRobertParker.com

    WS96
    WA95
    $99.98
    Availability:In Stock
Tasted blind at the 10-Year On Tasting in Sauternes. The 2005 Château de Fargues has a rich and intense bouquet with layers of honey, dried peach, beeswax and acacia that soar from the glass. The palate is powerful and authoritative: intense botrytis-rich honeyed fruit with compelling mineralité underneath. It fans out in glorious fashion – a stunning de Fargues that is now beginning to show its talents. As I remarked a couple of years ago, just afford it a couple more years so that it can fully absorb the vestiges of oak.. - Neal Martin, eRobertParker.com #219

96-98 Points! This has a phenomenal finish. It’s dense yet agile with dried tropical fruits and spices. Honey, too. Yet so intense and powerful. It really lasts for minutes. Medium sweet yet so fruity and energetic. This shows how you can have ripeness with fruit and then lots of botrytis. Exciting wine!  James Suckling March 16th 2015
