94 Points! Deeper ruby-hued and semi-opaque, the 2023 Châteauneuf Du Pape reveals ultra-classic aromatics of ripe black cherries, peppered meats, garrigue, lavender, and sandalwood nuances. Based on 75% Grenache, 10% each Syrah and Mourvèdre, and 5% Cinsault, it was partially destemmed, vinified in concrete tanks, and aged 12 months in large foudre. It's medium-bodied and has a pure, layered, elegant mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, and a great finish. This plays in the more charming, forward style of the vintage yet has everything in the right place, with flawless balance, and it’s just loaded with charm and character. - Jeb Dunnuck

Who needs Sancerre when you have Quincy? This is a blend of several plots of Sauvignon on alluvial sand and gravel atop clay-limestone subsoil wiht an average vine age of 45 years. Harvested slightly overripe to seek ripe fruit and richness on the palette. Pneumatic pressing, undergoes a cold pre-fermentation maceration in temperature-controlled inox , as means to search for a balance between freshness and fruitiness according to the vintage. The wines are then racked onto their fine lees and aged for a few more months. Aging 6 months.

From the importer: With its three hectares of 85-year-old Chardonnay, the Clos des Rocs produces a Pouilly-Loché like no other. Its due-easterly exposition allows for optimal ripeness, and its iron-streaked calcareous topsoil extends a mere 30 centimeters before reaching limestone mother-rock. Aged 13 months in used barrels, this wine—in true grand-cru-like fashion—synthesizes the positive attributes of all its cellarmates: gleaming acidity, fine but tunneling minerality, and stunning concentration. With their low levels of sulfur and their open-knit generosity, Olivier’s wines are never forbidding in their youth, but this deserves some time in bottle to properly unfurl its multilayered complexity.

93 Points! Pure, focused, and elegant, the 2023 Châteauneuf Du Pape Bel Ami offers an attractive floral perfume of light red fruits, rose petals, spice, and crushed stone-like minerality. Based on 70% Grenache with 10% each Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault and aged 18 months in 50% foudre and 50% stainless steel, it's medium-bodied, with a pure, layered, graceful mouthfeel, integrated tannins and acidity, and outstanding length. What isn't in a name? It doesn't say it on the label but Duband’s Vosne-Romanée comes from 90% “Les Barreaux” (medium-steep slope above Richebourg and Cros Parantoux; 300-340m; p.1950s) and 10% “Aux Ormes (gentle slope east of village center; 235m; p.1990).

From a parcelof less than an acre. This Montmains comes from the Butteaux part of the appellation, right in front of the village of Courgis. The vines are old, planted in the late 1950s.

A pure, marine-inflected opening—iodine, lemon peel and oyster liquor mingled with beeswax and dried apricot—precedes a concentrated yet tensile palate of taut muscularity. Bright acidity and abundant chalky extract lend the wine a bracing, kinetic edge, culminating in an intensely saline, persistent finish. Its bouquet weaves together citrus oils, pear and white peach.
