Another beautifully pure, juicy wine from this team, the 2023 Côtes Du Rhône Clavin comes from vines around the estate, just across the border of Châteauneuf du Pape in the northern part of the appellation. It offers blackberries, red cherries, violet, peppery herbs, and leather on the nose. Medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, it has ripe, polished tannins and outstanding length. It's medium-bodied, charming, spicy, and complex, with ripe tannins and the more forward, delicious, easy style of the vintage. 91 Points! Part of the empire of the Chateau Mouton Rothschild, this estate was once known as Mouton Baronne Philippe. This impressive, deep, opaque ruby/purple wine, with loads of charcoal, crème de cassis and a flowery-ness, this is rich, medium to full-bodied, beautifully textured, quite pure, and avoids any of the astringency or hollowness that some Médocs possess in this vintage. The wine is complete and finishes authoritatively. The tannins are there, but ripe, integrated and velvety. Consistently one of the top, under-the-radar wines of Pessac-Leognan, Haut-Bergey’s beautiful 2006 boasts a deep ruby/purple hue as well as a classic bouquet of hot rocks intermixed with graphite, cassis, incense, and charcoal. Certainly the bouquet has remained vigorous and with commendable fruit concentration over 20-years, replete with red cherries, cranberry and blackcurrant scents, cedar and hints of blue fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannin, a judicious line of acidity, harmonious and linear but with satisfying depth. There are subtle allspice and white pepper notes here, smooth towards the finish that does not outstay its welcome. This Talbot has aged very well and comes recommended. The classic red of the domaine accounts for approximately 85% of the annual production of the estate.  It is composed of 65% Grenache Noir, 15% Syrah, 15% Mourvèdre and a balance of other traditional varieties. The grapes are not destemmed, the cuvaison lasts for three weeks and the élevage encompasses an additional 18 months in traditional foudre wood vats before the wine is bottled unfiltered. The fruit is perfectly in balance with the textural elements, showing typical dark fruit notes with discernible energy and liveliness. Its slighty sauvage character and firm structural backbone is leavened by its exceptional breed.

A blend of 36% Grenache, 24% Syrah, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cinsault, 8% Rolle, 5% Caladoc, and 4% Counoise, the 2025 Coteaux D'Aix En Provence Rosé is a clean, classy rosé with light red fruits, white flowers, and chalky minerality on the nose. It's medium-bodied on the palate, with a fresh, focused mouthfeel, clean acidity, and just perfect overall balance.
