Dark and ample, with tremendous power, the 2025 captures all the natural richness of the year and also remains remarkably balanced. Dark-toned fruit, espresso, chocolate, new leather and licorice build nicely. Enclos Tourmaline is fermented in barrel, an approach that works quite well here."

91+ Points! The pale, fruit-driven and very young red 2022 Bozeto de Exopto is juicy and approachable, mixing 60% Garnacha with 35% Tempranillo and 5% Graciano. Fresh and dominated by the Garnacha, it is ripe without excess at 14.5% alcohol, reflecting the conditions of the year. The red 2023 Nossa Calcário Baga was produced with grapes from three plots of old vines (100 to 140 years old!) on Jurassic limestone soils with clay and marl only 15 kilometers from the ocean. The partly destemmed grapes fermented in open oak lagares with some pigéage, and the wine matured in 500- and 600-liter oak barrels and a 1,500-liter oak vat. It comes in at 12.5% alcohol and 5.52 grams of acidity. It reveals notes of ripe berries, decayed leaves and some spices, with an earthy touch that gives it complexity and a rustic twist.
