Ogier Crozes Hermitage Oratorio 2019

We love this wine especially with a touch of air. The 2019 vintage made powerful, sturdy wines that are quite classic in style, like some of the wines from the 1990’s. These wines actually have focus and structure with lots of sauvage notes of wild game, and 30 minutes in a decanter helps to soften the edges and emphasize this wine’s deep, savory red and black fruit flavors. The baking spice emerges with time, and the tannins elongate and become silkier as the wine evolves and you throw a price of meat in front of it. For lovers of ‘classic’ Crozes, this is a must-have…especially at this price.
