55% Petit Verdot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petite Sirah from Oak Knoll, Rutherford and Calistoga. This blend aged for 30 months in 30% new French oak prior to bottling.

Gang, this is not a shy wine. For those of you that like your Napa wines BIG, you’ve found your spirit animal. Deep, dark, but not brooding, just perfectly content to bask in its inky glory, this bold red grabs the palate with yards of deep black fruit flavors wrapped in a veil of chunky yet silky tannins. Derek learned well from his uncle, though this wine is a bit more reminiscent of Caymus’ ‘glory years’ in the 1990’s as opposed to some of the wines we’re seeing from the Wagner family today.
