A well-defined juniper note with pine needles, immediately followed by the fresh citrus notes of bitter orange, lime and grapefruit. Develops a complex floral note of rose and wallflowers with crushed green herbs, coriander and gooseberry all underpinned by mixed spice. Sugar Kelp adds to the complexity and richness and gives a dry maritime note. Refreshing, with good balance between the bitter juniper and pine and the sweet fruit flavours of mango, grapefruit and orange. A green herb flavour of crushed coriander develops. Distinctive and smooth with a dry, flinty taste. Overall a long, clean finish. As the juniper and citrus fade away, sweet vanilla and black pepper remain with a gentle reminder of the sea. This venerable whiskey is reminiscent of the Springbank 25 year olds of the early 1990s, and so we believe the cask is one seasoned in the old style, a rare find in today’s market. Characteristic of Campbeltown whiskeys, salt dominates on the nose, followed closely by the rich fruitiness notable in Springbank whiskey, offering up dried apricots and spiced pear. Peaty notes creep up slowly, as the coastal style makes an impact with smoky, chocolate rich notes on the palate. A rich, oily middle and a long finish, the richness complemented by lighter lemon notes and barley sugar.

Our pioneering pink gin is sweet, flavorful and floral. Originally created for Valentine’s Day, it was loved by so many we decided to make it a permanent expression!

Our Head Distiller crafts Love Gin using raspberries and strawberries from Fife Fruits who are based at Tarvit Home Farm – just a 15-minute drive from our distillery. Alongside this, he uses goji berries, red rose petal and rhubarb root among other botanicals.

This gin has a beautiful pink blush color and packs sweet vanilla and floral notes with a fruity finish.

Bottled exclusively for Wine Exchange! This cask bottling, distilled in April 2007, spent 14 years aging in bourbon barrel. It was bottled at cask strength in July of 2021 at 55.2% ABV. Cask #3 yielded 212 bottles. This is the first publicly available blended scotch whisky from Single Cask Nation. 

A Blend of single malt and single grain whisky, this bottling represents mulitple regions and styles in a single bottle. Expertly distilled and produced in conjunction with Burn Stewart Distillers. This exceptionally rare release from The Perfect Fifth was distilled in 1973 at the now-closed North of Scotland distillery, which operated in the Lowlands until 1980. After five decades of patient maturation, the whisky showcases the remarkable longevity and elegance that well-made single grain can achieve. Bottled in extremely limited quantities, it represents both a piece of lost distilling history and a showcase of time as an ingredient.

Our Winex exclusive cask was aged for 8 years, spending just over 7 years in ex-Buffalo Trace Bourbon barrels and then transferred into fresh Sandeman Ruby Port Casks for 6 months. At 55.9% ABV we recommend just a splash of water. The nose is complex and layered with cocoa powder, stewed cherries and biscuit peeking through the distinctive peat. The peat from Kilchoman has always stood out in my mind because it lacks any medicinal or burnt rubber qualities that turn many off to a peated scotch. On the palate it opens up with a hint of sweetness from the port cask. Flavors of baked cherry tart, citrus marmalade, toffee and dusty cocoa are wrapped cozily with the smokiness of the peat which warms the senses with pipe tobacco, smoldering earth and crushed seashell notes. The finish is long and cascading with a full and satisfyingly round mouthfeel.
