Maker's Mark Cellar Aged 2024 is a limited-edition bourbon that represents the distillery's oldest release to date. This expression is a meticulous blend of 15% 12-year-old and 85% 13-year-old bourbons, aged to taste rather than time, and bottled at cask strength of 119.3 proof (59.7% ABV).

91 Points! This year, the 2019 Sologarnacha Amphora Aging was produced with grapes from a vineyard planted in 2017. It's "only" 13.5% alcohol (most of the other wines are much higher in alcohol) and has a perfumed and floral nose, showing some lightness after a short maceration to keep the more ethereal part of the variety. Mulberry, spring flower, black cherry and raspberry characteristics as well as hints of spice and coffee emerge from this full-bodied, opulent, structured beauty. 91 Points! The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc—it includes 20% Sémillon—was mostly fermented and aged in stainless steel, with 25% going into oak. The result is a gently grassy-herbal wine loaded with grapefruit and nectarine-tinged fruit, plus hints of fig and melon. Made entirely of organically grown Teroldego grapes, picked around the end of September; bunches are entirely destemmed, 50% of the berries are left whole; fermentation is sometimes carried out with indigenous yeast, sometimes with cultivated yeast, depending on the vintage. Fermentation and maceration take place in both wooden and unlined cement fermenters, for a total of up to 40-50 days. The wine is aged in French oak barrels of between 2,500 and 4,000 liters capacity and in unlined cement tanks for about 10 months. About 2,500 cases are produced.

Color is a gorgeous opaque violet-tinged purple; on nose and palate the wine makes me think of cooler-climate Syrah with hints of Cabernet Franc, very berryish, meaty, some Assam tea notes, some herbal notes, rusty/meaty hints, big but not at all bitter. Fresh palate, long finish with almond note.

93 Points! Bright, dark-fruited character with hints of walnuts, spice box and dried orange peel. Savory, tense and dusty on the palate, with a medium to full body and polished, linear tannins. Shows focus and balance. Already attractive, but will age well. Drink or hold. - JamesSuckling.com

Aged for up to 18 months in French oak barrels, both new and used, this garnet wine with a purple sheen reveals balsamic and spicy notes intertwined with a black fruit core. Further hints of blueberry and currants layer atop a subtle oak backdrop. 91 Points! The 1998 Talbot remains youthful in appearance. Certainly the bouquet has remained vigorous and with commendable fruit concentration over 20-years, replete with red cherries, cranberry and blackcurrant scents, cedar and hints of blue fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannin, a judicious line of acidity, harmonious and linear but with satisfying depth. There are subtle allspice and white pepper notes here, smooth towards the finish that does not outstay its welcome. This Talbot has aged very well and comes recommended.
