Another terrific wine from this estate that represents a smoking value, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Terra 9 has ripe black fruits, smoked tobacco, chocolate, and iron-like nuances to go with a medium to full-bodied, concentrated, beautifully balanced style. 94 Points! The Rutherford Reserve leads with black fruits, toffee and oak spices. Full-bodied with ripe sweet blackberry and black cherry notes, building tannins that are a bit granular. The wine has plenty of grip and is built on 90% Cabernet Sauvignon with 10% Petit Verdot, aged 21 months in 80% new French oak. It is nicely balanced with a pH of 3.64 and is one not easy to put down. - Decanter Magazine

In 2020, winemaker Trevor Durling added 10% Petit Verdot to add body, a decision that paid off handsomely. This is a very fine wine for the year. Using hand-forged tools, we pursue the venerable art of tequila making, led by third-generation master tequilero Felipe Camarena. Our Reposado is crafted from estate grown ripe blue agave. Before baking, the green hearts are taken out of each and every agave, which eliminates a vegetal taste and offers more sweetness to the taste. After the agave has been evenly baked and crushed with “Frankenstein” (mechanical tahona), it is then fermented for four to five days using only natural yeasts. Once fermentation is complete it is then carefully double distilled with pure rainwater and natural spring water in 100% copper pot stills. With no glycerin, chemicals or flavors added, the result is pure handcrafted tequila. Barrel aging for six months in American oak helps develop its rich flavors.

Sangiovese (45%), Ciliegiolo (45%), Merlot (10%). From the importer: A lovely, gentle, unadorned wine that is an expression of the monastic life of the people who produce it, from equal proportions of the grape varieties Ciliegiolo and Sangiovese (a clone similar to Montepulciano d’Abruzzo) cultivated in the area around the Monastery. The wine undergoes a 15-day natural fermentation without any forced stabilization.

Perfectly exposed to the southeast, this walled vineyard sits high up on the slope, and with its pure limestone soils, delivers a more refined, layered and complex red Burgundy.

97 Points! With its colorful fantasy label, the Domenico Clerico 2019 Barolo Aeroplan Servaj shows dark fruit and a velvety texture with rusty nail and pencil shaving. This vintage carries more overall concentration and structure, and the results are both rich and extremely beautiful. Fruit comes from vines planted in 1994.
