92 Points! The excellent 2019 Brut Blanc de Blancs Cuvée Fleuron, sourced from eight lieux-dits in Cramant, Chouilly and Cuis, was disgorged in October 2023 with five grams per liter dosage. Soaring from the glass with aromas of green apple, lemon zest, elderflower and toasted bread, it is full-bodied, textural and intense, supported by bright acids and chalky extract that provide a sensation of freshness. It was barrel-fermented and matured in 45% new, 350- and 500-liter French oak for 12 months, plus an additional four months in stainless steel. It has alluring aromas of golden apple, nectarine, beeswax, hazelnut, flint and holiday spice. 93+ Points! The just-released 2019 Viré-Clessé Cuvée E. J. Thevenet is showing nicely, unwinding in the glass with aromas of orange confit, honeycomb, pear and baking spices. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and seamless, it's dense and layered, with bright acids and a charming, suave style despite its concentration. On the nose, this wine begins with an abundance of tropical fruit and floral notes that leap from the glass. Bright acidity and subtle minerality mesh with fresh fruit notes of white peach and Meyer Lemon to provide a complete and balanced palate.

Insider alert! This is the domaine of Anne Ramonet's family. Anne is the ex-wife of Jean-Claude Ramonet, and Anne and Jean-Claude's daughters make the wines at both spots! Some of the original plantings from 1872 may be in THIS wine with an average vine age of over 90+ years!
