Tres Agaves Reposado is produced from organic blue agave grown in the Tequila Valley. The agaves are harvested and roasted to extract their natural sugars before fermentation and distillation. Using hand-forged tools, we pursue the venerable art of tequila making, led by third-generation master tequilero Felipe Camarena. Our Reposado is crafted from estate grown ripe blue agave. Before baking, the green hearts are taken out of each and every agave, which eliminates a vegetal taste and offers more sweetness to the taste. After the agave has been evenly baked and crushed with “Frankenstein” (mechanical tahona), it is then fermented for four to five days using only natural yeasts. Once fermentation is complete it is then carefully double distilled with pure rainwater and natural spring water in 100% copper pot stills. With no glycerin, chemicals or flavors added, the result is pure handcrafted tequila. Barrel aging for six months in American oak helps develop its rich flavors.

Our Margarita Original is a family recipe that we started the company with.
How it all started…It was mid-July 1995 and a friend and I had just sat down at a makeshift table in the city center, Zócalo, of Oaxaca. The waiter stood in front of us with a handful of limes, an unlabeled bottle of tequila, and homemade triple sec. I’d had margaritas before but what he created, his take, the “Margarita Original,” forever changed my understanding. Not too sweet the right amount of tart and that perfect flavor of distilled blue agave. I took the recipe home with me and after decades of success offering the “Margarita Original” to local customers in our family restaurant we are finally able to share it with others.

Using 100% agave blanco tequila and mixing it with a proprietary triple-sec and natural lime juice Golden Rule has given the #1 cocktail in the world the respect it deserves. Our margarita is made to the proper strength with the right ingredients.

As with all our cocktails we aim to give the consumer the same experience they would expect from a bar but in the convenience and portability of a perfectly portioned 100ml can.

Kilinga Bacanora is a family-owned producer established in 2018 by maestro bacanorero Rodrigo Bojórquez Bours in Álamos, Sonora, Mexico. It holds the distinction of being the first officially designated Bacanora by the Consejo Sonorense Regulador del Bacanora available in the United States. Crafted from wild Maguey Pacifica (Agave Angustifolia), the agave is pit-roasted in the traditional Sonoran method and distilled to produce a spirit with over 300 years of heritage behind it. This Blanco expression is unaged, bottled at 42% ABV to capture the pure, untempered character of the agave.

Tasting Note: The nose opens with aromatic smokiness, sweet roasted agave, and an earthy butteriness accented by toasted hazelnut and mild spice. On the palate, bold toasted caramel meets minerals and wildflowers, with an assertive but balanced smokiness threading through. The finish is smooth and refreshing, with cooked agave and gentle herbal notes lingering cleanly.

It holds the distinction of being the first officially designated Bacanora by the Consejo Sonorense Regulador del Bacanora available in the United States. Crafted from wild Maguey Pacifica (Agave Angustifolia) and pit-roasted in the traditional Sonoran method, this Reposado expression is rested for six to ten months in white American oak barrels, allowing the raw intensity of the agave to soften and absorb warm barrel influence. Bottled at 40% ABV.

Tasting Note: The nose presents wildflowers, vanilla, roasted coffee, and hints of caramel over a golden honey hue. On the palate, sweet agave and warm spice are joined by subtle oak and a touch of smokiness, with refreshing notes of lime and tropical fruit adding complexity. The finish is smooth, clean, and woodsy, lingering with gentle vanilla and the unmistakable brightness of Sonoran agave.

From the distillery: Cazcanes Tequila No.7 Reposado is the first Reposado offering from Mr. Collin Edwards, the award-winning Master Distiller of Cazcanes Tequila. It also was awarded a Bronze Medal from the 2018 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and a Gold Medal from the 2020 Sip Awards.

Kilinga Bacanora is a family-owned producer established in 2018 by maestro bacanorero Rodrigo Bojórquez Bours in Álamos, Sonora, Mexico. It holds the distinction of being the first officially designated Bacanora by the Consejo Sonorense Regulador del Bacanora available in the United States. Crafted from wild Maguey Pacifica (Agave Angustifolia) and pit-roasted in the traditional Sonoran method, this Añejo expression is aged for over five years in French oak barrels, an exceptionally long rest for a Bacanora, developing remarkable depth while preserving the spirit's agave soul. Bottled at a robust 44% ABV.

Tasting Note: The nose is rich and inviting, with dark chocolate, tobacco, vanilla, and charred sugar rising from the glass. On the palate, luxurious toasted caramel unfolds alongside warm baking spice, coffee, and a velvety smoothness imparted by years in French oak. The finish is long and satisfying, as the barrel notes gradually give way to a clean, bright agave character that sweeps across the palate, a signature of Bacanora's Sonoran roots.

Our Classic Daiquiri features the time-honored trio of rum, lime juice, and sugar. These three simple ingredients, when blended in perfect proportions, create a tart, boozy, and unbelievably refreshing cocktail. Although it seems straightforward, crafting a cocktail with only three ingredients calls for precision as there is nothing to mask imperfections.
 

Understanding this, we knew our recipe had to be true to form and time tested. The backbone of a daiquiri is the rum, and we refused to settle for a neutral, flavorless spirit. Instead, we turned to our southern neighbors, who are better known for their agave spirits, to discover one of the finest rums available, Paranbubes Oaxacan Rum. Made from pure cane sugar, with the earthy funkiness typical of agricole-style rums, Paranubes sets the perfect tone for our daiquiri. We then balanced this exceptional spirit with just the right amounts of tart lime juice and cane sugar. We are thrilled with the balance and complexity we’ve achieved – not too sweet, not too tart, with the perfect amount of cane rum to keep you coming back for more.

Ingredients: Paranubes Rum, Lime Juice, Sugar

From the distillery: Cazcanes No.9 Blanco 100 Proof is the first Blanco offering from Mr. Collin Edwards, the award-winning Master Distiller of Cazcanes Tequila. The No.9 Blanco has received praise in the U.S being voted 2018 Best Blanco Tequila and Best Unaged White Spirit, along with 2017 and 2018 Double Gold medals, from the renowned San Francisco World Spirit Competition. Cazcanes Tequila No.9 is tequila at its finest. Drink Cazcanes Tequila No.9 Blanco on the rocks, neat, or in a cocktail. More sophisticated palates will appreciate the complexity of the higher proof distillate that comes from this tequila’s unique production process.

With 90% of C’Juste composed of Gros Manseng grown on the large veins of white clay in warm-to-hot summer conditions and without added sulfites, we may expect its takeoff to be like the first throttle on the tarmac in a fast but chubby commercial liner; however, it’s more like (what I imagine) being pressed against the seat of screaming fighter jet during takeoff. We, for one, find C’Juste yet another impressive no-sulfites-added white wine that demonstrates what’s possible if done correctly in the cellar. It’s as inviting as it is electric, and once open the bottle tends to empty rather quickly.

Laurent describes C’Juste as, “a rich wine due to the typicity of Gros Manseng. From one year to the next, the Victoria pineapple side (a note not often found in colder and wetter climate Gros Manseng wines) remains the common thread, while the 10% of Ugni Blanc brings freshness and acidity—the lemon side on the finish. It’s for the meal rather than apero hour and can compete with a fine Chardonnay in terms of power and the freshness of a great Chenin Blanc.”

Once in the cellar, the grapes are first left for 24 hours in concrete to cool down, then they’re whole-cluster pressed before being returned to the same medium. At the end of the 10-15-day natural fermentation, the wine is racked off the gross lees into four 8hl Italian terracotta amphoras for 11 months before bottling. There is no sulfite added to this wine at any time, though the exception is the 2020 version. C’Juste is lightly filtered but not fined.

Like taking a sour patch kid (first they’re sour then they’re sweet). Our paloma is a balance of the sweet, bitter, juiciness of a grapefruit with a backbone of our own 100% agave tequila. Throw some salt in the mix and your tastebuds will give up and just ask for more. As the perfect compliment to our Margarita we love the way grapefruit, lime juice and tequila interact to make this “still” version of a classic Paloma. Who doesn’t love a pink drink…?

95 Points! The 2022 Cabernet Franc is high-toned, fresh, and mineral-driven, with supple tannin and unobtrusive oak. Medium-bodied, it's well put together and a screaming value for the modest price. 93+ Points! Sourced from Gualtallary's Adrianna Vineyard, the 2022 Cabernet Franc contains 10% Malbec and underwent a 60-day maceration and aged for 15 months in a mix of foudre, barrique and tank. Opening with a dark-fruited, floral and spice-inflected nose, the palate offers dramatic richness tempered by a sturdy, upright, mineral-driven core. It concludes with an explosive, long and layered finish that balances vibrant energy and staining intensity. This is a strikingly overperforming example of the variety that should develop beautifully in the cellar. - Matthew Luczy, robertparker.com

Founded directly above the San Andreas Fault, DeRose Vineyards is located in one of the most active earthquake areasin the World. Furthermore, it is one of only a few wineries anywhere to have a major fissure dissecting its wine cellars. DeRose has vineyards on both sides of the infamous fault. Soils east of the break contain fragmented granite and crumbled sandstone while those on the west side are mostly granite and limestone. Some blocks lie precisely above the line, their tilled surfaces concealing the fissure far below. Cabernet Franc grows east of the fault in loosely packed loam where the drainage is excellent.

A temperamental grape variety in many locations, Cabernet Franc thrives on the DeRose estate, creating heavily extracted wines with wonderful viscosity. Winemaker Pat DeRose prunes each vine in the winter and later exposes the grapes to beneficial sunlight with careful leaf removal. Clusters are thinned after veraison to attain proper vine balance.

Based on 81% Cabernet Franc, 8% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Malbec, the 2021 Cabernet Franc sports a vivid purple hue to go with impressive aromatics of cassis, black raspberries, spring flowers, and chocolaty oak. It's medium-bodied and has a supple, elegant mouthfeel, fine tannins, and a great finish. A beautiful wine, it might even be better in another year or two as it integrates its oak. Regardless, it's a terrific value that I'd happily drink any time over the coming 8-10 years. - Jeb Dunnuck

Lots of Bordeaux-like currants, cedar pencil, chocolate, and leather nuances emerge from the 2021 Cabernet Franc Tinaquaic Vineyard, an incredibly well-balanced, medium to full-bodied red that has fine tannins and a great finish. It might be one of the finest Bordeaux blends I've tasted from this estate, and if you were to put this in a blind tasting of top Bordeaux, you might just shock your friends – and yourself. - Jeb Dunnuck
