Le Margherita is composed of 90% fruit from Canale in Roero, planted in 2006 on a fully exposed, windy northeast slope of calcareous sand at 350 meters, with the remaining 10% from Diano d’Alba, planted in 2004 on a northeast-facing site of calcareous clay and sand at roughly 450 meters.
Whole cluster pressed and naturally fermented at 12-18°C. Aged 6 months in steel. First sulfites added after fermentation. No ML. Fined and filtered.
