Bodega Rancho Red Wine Bennett Valley Sonoma County 2016

A lush blend of 59% Syrah from the Vivio Vineyard and 41% Grenache from Jemrose Vineyard, two outstanding sites in the Bennett Valley used by such luminaries as Myriad, Donelan and more! We LOVE the fact this wine comes from the outstanding 2016 vintage in Sonoma, a great, powerful year they produced some classic full-throttle wines, especially from Syrah! This wine is just entering its drinking window, amazingly enough, black, inky to the rim still, redolent of spice, some white pepper, tons of black fruits, it seems like the Grenache in the blend is barely perceptible, perhaps there merely to tame this beat of a Syrah. Big medicine, but in the finest way.
