    JD94

94 Points!  The 2014 Semillon - Sauvignon Blanc is another brilliant white blend that does everything right. Caramelized citrus, white grapefruit, spice, and brioche notes all emerge from this deep, rich, pure 2014. It has an awesome texture, integrated acidity, and a blockbuster finish, and it’s a seriously good Bordeaux Blanc blend (it’s 80% Semillon and 20% Sauvignon) that should be snatched up by readers. - Jeb Dunnuck

  4. La Mission Haut Brion Blanc Pessac Leognan 2015
    JD95
    JS98
    $659.98
    Availability:In Stock
95 Points! The 2015 La Mission Haut Brion Blanc is a Sémillon dominated white (there’s roughly 33% Sauvignon Blanc) from this team and it’s a ripe, opulent effort that gives up smokin’ good notes of orange blossom, citrus oil, and white peach. Rich, unctuous, and loaded with character, this full-bodied beauty fills the mouth with fruit, yet has bright minerality and acidity keeping it fresh and lively. It’s going to keep for two decades. - Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com

  5. Doisy Vedrines Sauternes 2008
    WS91
    WA91
    $45.98
    Availability:In Stock
91 Points! -Tasted at the château, the 2008 Château Doisy-Védrines does not have the same fruit intensity as the previous two vintages on the nose and comes across more resinous and understated. The palate is crisp and vibrant on the entry and goes some way in compensating for the aromatics. The acidity is very well judged and there is impressive tension on the finish: orange sorbet and quince fanning out in assured fashion. Enjoy this over the next 15 to 20 years. Wine Advocate

  6. Doisy Daene l'Extravagant Barsac 2005 375ml Half Bottle
    WS95
    WA96
    $179.98
    Availability:In Stock
96 Points! -tasted blind at the 10-Year On Tasting in Sauternes. The 2005 L’Extravagant de Doisy Daëne has 3.9grams of acidity, 192 grams per liter of residual sugar and 12.3% alcohol. The 2005 has a powerful bouquet with honey, mandarin, a touch of petrol and yellow flowers on the nose, later developing that seductive marzipan scent that draws you in like a tractor beam. The palate is unctuous in the mouth that is probably going to be sugar-coated for the next year or two, but there are some gorgeous peach and citrus notes that flourish on the finish. It is more a force of nature than a wine! -Neal Martin Wine Advocate

  7. Climens Barsac 2005
    WS95
    WA97
    $109.98
    Availability:In Stock
97 points! Tasted blind at the 10-Year On Tasting in Sauternes. The 2005 Château Climens just soars from the glass with layers of clear honey, marmalade, nectarine and minerals all beautifully carved. The palate is medium-bodied with fresh, vibrant honeyed fruit that builds and builds in the mouth in tandem with a killer line of acidity. Even though it is a convincing, great Climens, you also have the impression that it is only just beginning to show what it is capable of. Bérénice Lurton and her team excelled in this vintage and it comes strongly recommended.-Wine Advocate, June 2015

  8. Wonderment Semillon Hyde Vineyard Napa Valley 2014
    $32.98
    Availability:In Stock
What may be one of those last vintages of this old-vine patch of Semillon in Larry Hyde's famous vineyard that we hear has been grubbed up. This is great stuff, rich yet focused, tropical, and reminiscent of the great old-vine Semillon that Signorello use to make.
