  4. Elena Fucci Aglianico Del Vulture Titolo 2015
    WA92
    $39.98
    Availability:In Stock
92 Points!  Here's another great vintage from Elena Fucci, the ascending star of a rising wine region in the deep south of Italy. The 2015 Aglianico del Vulture Titolo shows a dark garnet color and robust appearance. Very characteristic of this extreme territory, this is a dark and penetrating wine with etched mineral notes behind blackberry, plum and savory spice. This vintage presents an even darker quality of fruit. In the mouth, you get iron, blood and dark mineral nuances that are absolutely typical of these darkened volcanic soils. This wine needs more time to integrate in the bottle before you pop the cork. - Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, December 2017.

  6. Montevetrano Aglianico Core 2013
    JS91
    $21.98
    Availability:In Stock
It’s gorgeous Aglianico, finer than many from the area, aged in French oak, still powerful, and loaded with deep, dark, chewy black fruits. James Suckling noted it was, “A red with lots of rich fruit with brick and stone undertones. Full body, chewy tannins and a long, flavorful finish. 91 Points.”

  7. Perillo Taurasi 2005
    WA91
    VM91
Special Price $34.98 Regular Price $45.00
    Availability:In Stock
91+ Points! The estate’s 2005 Taurasi is a big, stern wine loaded with dark red cherries, game, licorice, incense and tobacco. Over time, layers of sweet, perfumed fruit begin to emerge. Although quite pretty, the 2005 is a relatively straightforward wine with good complexity and juiciness, yet it doesn’t appear to have the structure or pure pedigree to be a super long-term wine. The firmness of Aglianico remains, but overall this is a relatively fruity style of Taurasi. Deceptively medium in body, the 2005 nevertheless possesses gorgeous density and sheer power. It can be enjoyed today or cellared for at least a few years. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2022. - Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate #205

  8. Cantine Lonardo Taurasi Coste 2009
    VM93
Special Price $59.98 Regular Price $80.00
    Availability:In Stock
93 Points!  The 2009 Taurasi Coste will reward readers with glorious drinking over the next 15-20 years, perhaps longer. Rich, ample and racy on the palate, the 2009 shows the more voluptuous side of Taurasi, with layers of dark fruit that continue to open up in the glass. Earthy, leathery notes add nuance on the powerful finish. The 2009 is very much old school in style, but with a touch of early approachability that is a positive for such a big wine., Vinous Media, May 2015
