  6. Marietta Zinfandel Alexander Valley Estate Grown Angeli 2016
    JD93
    VM92
    $29.98
    Availability:In Stock
93 Points! The 2016 Zinfandel Angeli (96% Zinfandel, 2% Syrah, and 2% Petite Sirah) comes from Alexander Valley in the northern part of California. Its plum/purple color is followed by a rockingly good bouquet of spiced plums, cedar, sandalwood, and exotic spice. Medium to full-bodied, focused, elegant and seamless, with a silky texture, it's very much in the style of the 2016 vintage. While already hard to resist, it should keep for 6-7 years. It's a great value. - Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com Learn More
  7. Berthoumieu Madiran Cuvee Charles de Batz 2014
    $18.98
    Availability:In Stock
Importer notes: The wine is composed of 90% Tannatwith 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from vines that are at least 50 years old. The soil in these vineyards is clay and limestone with some round stones at the surface. After being completely destemmed, the Cabernet and Tannat are fermented separately in cement tanks. During this time, a bit of micro-oxygénation or microboullage takes place. The wine then goes into oak (60%) in an underground cellar where it also undergoes malolacticfermentation. After twelve months in wood, it is blended and bottled after a very light filtration. Learn More
  8. Mike and Molly Hendry Zinfandel RW Moore Vineyard Napa Valley 2016
    $34.98
    Availability:In Stock
This is a bigger, badder Moore! Mike Hendry almost apologized for its intensity when we met and tasted with him. These 111-year-odl vines really brought their A Game in 2016, enthralling, spicy, peppery, brambly Napa Valley Zin, of which there are less and less every year. A legend. Learn More
  9. Hendry Zinfandel Blocks 7 & 22 Napa Valley 2015
    $28.98
    Availability:In Stock
Winery notes: One of the two wines George Hendry made in his very first offering of a few hundred cases back in 1992 was from Block 7, planted in 1975. It remains the foundation of one of our flagship wines. Both block 7 and 22 are located on benchlands west of the town of Napa. The nine acres are between 230 and 300 feet above sea level and have thin, stony Boomer series soils. The maritime climate is moderated by morning fog and strong afternoon breezes from San Pablo Bay. Block 7 was planted forty-three years ago in 1975 to clone 2 Zinfandel. Block 22 was planted twenty-three years ago, in 1995, also to clone 2. The vines are spaced 8’ x 10’, cordon trained and spur-pruned. A three-wire trellis system supports the cordon and the canopy. Learn More

96 Points! I loved the 2016 Zinfandel Howell Mountain, and this beauty has everything you could want from a mountain Zinfandel. Possessing a huge perfume of blue fruits, leafy herbs, and cedarwood, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, silky tannins, and a pleasure-bent, complex, layered texture that just begs to be drunk. It too will keep for over a decade. - Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com Learn More

  14. Bedrock Under The Mountain Heritage Wine Santa Clara County 2017
    $49.98
    Availability:In Stock
This amazing survivor vineyard is indeed “under the mountain,” or more accurately right under the Santa Cruz Mountains. Located in the hills west of Morgan Hill and just north of Hecker Pass, the vineyard lies in a region once heavily planted to vines. Most of the original plantings in the area have given way to housing, shopping malls and the other needs of the sprawling south Bay Area, which makes this vineyard, nestled in the hills, so unique. Farmed by the Gregory family, the vineyard is planted predominately to Zinfandel and Carignan, though some Petite Sirah, Muscat and others exist on the site as well. The small amount of wine we are able to make off the site is defined by beautiful mountain acidity, fresh fruit and aromatics that pop out of the glass. - Morgan Twain-Peterson Learn More
  15. Bedrock Lorenzo's Heritage Wine Dry Creek Valley 2017
    VM94+
    $49.98
    Availability:In Stock
94+ Points! Bedrock's 2017 Heritage Wine Lorenzo, from Teldeschi Ranch, is a potent, massively structured wine that will need quite a bit of time to come into its own. Dark cherry, leather, smoke, licorice, spice and menthol give the Lorenzo much of its distinctive brooding personality. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media Learn More
  16. Ridge Geyserville Sonoma County 2017
    WA93-95
    $39.98
    Availability:In Stock
93-95 Points! A first look at the 2017 Geyserville Proprietary Red Wine revealed immense promise. Despite having been in barrel for a mere six months, it's already offering up complex aromas of raspberries, blackberries and exotic spice. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, pure and succulent, with superb concentration, a lovely line of ripe acidity and a chalky, fine-grained finish. The wine attained 14.7% alcohol, and Baugher believes it will be one of the best renditions of Geyserville in a decade. - William Kelley, robertparker.com Learn More
