    $25.98

94 Points! Aged for a year in large oak foudres, this full bodied style respects the tannic character of the Tannat grape, but also adds a delicious dark fruit intensity that fills the palate. - Decanter Magazine Learn More
  2. Berthoumieu Madiran Cuvee Charles de Batz 2014
    $18.98
    Availability:In Stock
Importer notes: The wine is composed of 90% Tannatwith 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from vines that are at least 50 years old. The soil in these vineyards is clay and limestone with some round stones at the surface. After being completely destemmed, the Cabernet and Tannat are fermented separately in cement tanks. During this time, a bit of micro-oxygénation or microboullage takes place. The wine then goes into oak (60%) in an underground cellar where it also undergoes malolacticfermentation. After twelve months in wood, it is blended and bottled after a very light filtration. Learn More

92 Points! Bright straw-yellow. Menthol, ripe apple, botanical herbs and flowers on the inviting nose. Rich and dense with a multilayered quality. Finishes long, surprisingly tactile, complex and mouth-filling. Best Falanghina wine from Terredora in years, or at least that I have memory of. - Ian D'Agata, Vinous Media

  4. Garzon Tannat Reserve Uruguay 2016
    JS92
    $14.98
    Availability:In Stock
92 Points! Iodine, ink, tar, crushed stones and dark plum essence. This has all the hallmarks of a fruity tannat, but it's in no way too much. It combines a lovely firm tannin backbone with tangy acidity, which carries all the way to the savory finish. Drink now. - James Suckling, jamessuckling.com

  5. Terre Stregate Falanghina Svelato 2016
    $15.98
    Availability:In Stock
Honeysuckle and yellow stone fruit aromas meld with a whiff of Mediterranean herb. The bright palate doles out ripe yellow peach, pineapple and crushed sage alongside bright acidity. - Wine Enthusiast Learn More
  6. Cruse Wine Company Tannat Alder Springs Vineyard 2015
    VM90
    $44.98
    Availability:In Stock
90 Points!  Michael Cruse's 2015 Tannat Alder Springs is bold and intense, and yet the huge tannins typical of this variety have been largely tamed. A host of earthy, savory notes add aromatic complexity to the deeply expressive, varietal fruit. The 2015 is bold and rustic (there is only so much one can do with Tannat) and yet all the elements are beautifully balanced. The Tannat was vinified in concrete and aged in barrel. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

  7. Tikves Vranec Special Selection 2013
    WA90
    $7.98
    Availability:In Stock
90 Points! The inky-colored 2013 Vranac Special Selection (100% Vranac, which is the local grape of Macedonia) offers upfront, voluptuous levels of black raspberry, plum, violets and spring flowers. Full-bodied, decadent and a borderline big fruit bomb, it nevertheless has fabulous purity of fruit and good freshness. It’s a smoking value to drink over the coming 2-4 years (although I have no experience with how this grape ages). - Jeb Dunnuck, eRobertParker.com #215
