    JS93
    $25.98

  2. Berthoumieu Madiran Cuvee Charles de Batz 2014
    $18.98
    Availability:In Stock
Importer notes: The wine is composed of 90% Tannatwith 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from vines that are at least 50 years old. The soil in these vineyards is clay and limestone with some round stones at the surface. After being completely destemmed, the Cabernet and Tannat are fermented separately in cement tanks. During this time, a bit of micro-oxygénation or microboullage takes place. The wine then goes into oak (60%) in an underground cellar where it also undergoes malolacticfermentation. After twelve months in wood, it is blended and bottled after a very light filtration. Learn More

93 Points! The 2017 Dolcetto d'Alba Coste & Fossati is a wine of extraordinary and arresting beauty. Intense and yet also remarkably delineated, the Coste & Fossati is a terrific example of the heights Dolcetto can reach in skilled hands. Readers will find a gorgeous, beautifully layered wine endowed with tremendous energy and focus. Dark plum, graphite, smoke, menthol and licorice all build in this super-expressive and nuanced wine from Vajra. I loved it. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media Learn More
  4. Dyckerhoff Reuilly Petit Gris Rosé 2018
    $14.98
    Availability:In Stock
Reuilly is an outcropping of limestone and clay soil that makes for a terroir suitable for the vine in a region dominated by grain farming. The allowed varieties of Reuilly are Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris, which is only allowed for rosé, this one being a beguiling wine with the slightly pink tint and rich texture of the Pinot Gris grape, more than just a dry rosé. The wines of Reuilly are pleasurable and easy to drink, a racy, cool-climate style that is sure to please... Learn More

Juicy and focused on the palate, offering mineral-inflected strawberry and tangelo flavors that pick up a hint of smokiness as the wine stretches out. WE93
    $25.98
    Availability:In Stock
93 Points! Ripe, juicy yellow pear and honey carry the nose. The palate hits with a touch of sweetness that boosts the ripe pear fruit but, it is countered by zesty lemon and a pleasantly bitter streak of phenolics. The result is a rounded, powerful and concentrated wine. - Wine Enthusiast Learn More
  11. Giuseppe Mascarello Barbera D'Alba Scudetto 2015
    WA92
    $37.98
    Availability:In Stock
92 Points! Since the 2014 vintage, this wine is no longer labeled as Superiore. The 2015 Barbera d'Alba Scudetto had just been bottled when I tasted my sample, but the sheer richness and exuberance of the fruit was nevertheless on full display. Barbera performed very nicely in this warm vintage, delivering opulent and generous black fruit aromas. This Barbera is rich in volume and texture as well. This wine, along with the Langhe Freisa Toetto and Langhe Nebbiolo, was released in late May 2018. - Monica Larner, Wine Advocate

  12. Elio Grasso Dolcetto d'Alba Dei Grassi 2017
    $16.98
    Availability:In Stock
Gianluca Grasso tells me he became as strict as an Italian police man, a Carabinieri, when it came to leaf pulling in 2017. Vines needed as much shade as they could get in this scorching hot vintage, so he did not allow for any leaves to be thinned. Fruit for the 2017 Dolcetto d'Alba dei Grassi matured rigorously in the shade during the whole summer season. For Gianluca, this was the key to maintaining fruity intensity and freshness in this difficult vintage. Indeed, this wine is void of the jammy sensations of fruit confit and marmalade that you might expect given the record heat. - Monica Larner, robertparker.com

  13. Anna Maria Abbona Dogliani Sori dij But 2016
    $14.98
    Availability:In Stock
Importer notes: 'Sori' is Piedmontese dialect for the sunny south face of a hill. 'But' or Butti is the name of the hamlet where Anna Maria and her husband Franco's house and cellar are, a stunning spot in a very beautiful area. This is classic Dogliani Dolcetto, fermented and aged in stainless steel. It shows great color, reddish purple and violet-tinged, aromas of blueberries and tealeaf, and some tea tannins to go with the abundant fruit on the palate. Dolcetto is one of the best table wines I know; so grill some lambchops, pour everyone a glass, and all will be right with the world. Learn More

    JS92
    $14.98

92 Points! Iodine, ink, tar, crushed stones and dark plum essence. This has all the hallmarks of a fruity tannat, but it's in no way too much. It combines a lovely firm tannin backbone with tangy acidity, which carries all the way to the savory finish. Drink now. - James Suckling, jamessuckling.com

  16. Emile Beyer Pinot Gris Tradition Alsace 2016
    WE92
    $17.98
    Availability:In Stock
92 Points! A touch of reduction still plays on the nose but the palate shows ample, ripe pear notes on a dry but concentrated body. The bold fruit holds its own against lemon brightness. This rich but taut wine strikes a lovely balance and has both drive and impact. The finish is long and dry. - Wine Enthusiast Learn More
  17. Giovanni Manzone Dolcetto d'Alba Le Ciliegie 2016
    $14.98
    Availability:In Stock

The 2016 Dolcetto d'Alba Le Ciliegie takes its cue from its name: "ciliegie" are cherries in Italian. That is indeed the main aromatic component of this easy-drinking wine. Cherry liqueur or candied cherries lead to darker tones of prune and plum. Pair this wine with crispy fried chicken. - Monica Larner, robertparker.com
