I love it when a Rosé conveys the true varietal character of the grape and Audebert is one of the masters at making Cabernet Franc Rosé from the Loire Valley that actually tastes like both Cabernet Franc AND Rosé.  Fantastic stuff!

  8. Arietta Red H Block Hudson Vineyard Napa Valley 2015
    JD94
    JS95

    $149.98
    Availability:In Stock
95 Points!  Arietta's 2015 H Block Hudson Vineyards, 75% Cabernet Franc and 25% Merlot co-fermented, is another gorgeous wine from Arietta in this vintage. Resonant, open-knit and seductive, the 2015 has much to offer. I would prefer to give the 2015 at least a few years in bottle to allow the aromatics to open up a bit more. Even so, the 2015 is pretty special today.

  9. Jonata El Alma de Jonata 2015
    JD98
    $149.98
    Availability:In Stock
98+ Points!  Showing awesome aromatics, as well as an incredible depth on the palate, the 2015 El Alma de Jonata (74% Cabernet Franc, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Petit Verdot and Merlot) reveals an inky purple color as well as killer notes of blackcurrant, spring flowers, dark chocolate, bay leaf and licorice. Possessing full-bodied richness, gorgeous purity of fruit, lots of chalky tannin, and a great finish, this is easily a candidate for the finest Cabernet Franc made in America. It needs 4-5 years of cellaring and will keep for two decades. - Jeb Dunnuck

  11. Duemani Cabernet Franc Cifra 2016
    JS94
    WA92
    $31.98
    Availability:In Stock
92 Points! Tasted from vat, the 2016 Cabernet Franc CiFRA is one of the best value wines you will find in this report. This is a brooding and thick expression of the hearty Cabernet Franc grape that is piled high with all kinds of Tuscan warmth and sunshine. The wine just oozes personality and power with inky dark fruit and thick extraction. CiFRA is made with organic and biodynamic fruit from the Tuscan Coast. Sweet plum and prune give momentum on the finish.  Monica Larner, Wine Advocate

  13. Petite Mairie Bourgueil Les Galluches 2015
    $14.98
    Availability:In Stock
The cuvée “Les Galluches” is made from a blend of grapes harvested from different parcels, a majority of which are of sandy composition thus yielding a wine of intense aromatics and subtle tannins. This wine is aged in oak “foudres” or large casks for 4 to 6 months, then racked into cement cuves for several more months before bottling. The “Galluches” is a consistently impressive wine that is sophisticated in it subtle complexity and offers impeccable value.

  14. Zorzal Wines Eggo Franco 2015
    WA93
    VM90
    $22.98
    Availability:In Stock
93 Points!  The second vintage I tasted from this Cabernet Franc, the 2015 Eggo Franco is produced, like many of their wines, with grapes from Tupungato Winelands in Gualtallary. It fermented in cement eggs with some stems and with 50% of the wine kept in contact with skins for some three to four months, then pressed and put back in the eggs to complete its élevage, which lasted some nine months. It shows a mixture of herbal and candied berry aromas, hints of beef blood and iron. The absence of oak shows the naked tannins and provides an earthy side, which to me is very much the wild character of Gualtallary. 6,000 bottles were filled in December 2015 (it was harvested in March).  Luis Gutierrez, The Wine Advocate #228, December 2016
