  1. La Rioja Alta Rioja Gran Reserva 904 2010
    JS98
    WA96+
    $59.98
    Availability:In Stock
98 Points! Fresh blueberries and brambleberries take center stage, which is striking for a wine of this age. There are also lots of roasted herbs, such as sage, not to mention floral elements, including lavender and dried violets. Then come cedar, sandalwood and tar. The tannins are incredibly round and soft, without the slightest hint of anything dry. This is among the most elegant of Riojas, where the acidity is wonderfully pronounced and cuts right through any touch of dried fruit. Long and powerful, yet subtle on the finish. Drink now, or hold for a very long time. - JamesSuckling.com Learn More
  2. Marques de Murrieta Rioja Dalmau Reserva 2013
    WE93
    DEC96
    WA94
Special Price $49.98 Regular Price $89.98
    Availability:Out of Stock
96 Points! Dalmau comes from the Canajas vineyard, which has a high concentration of limestone. The sweet, savoury, red-fruited Tempranillo core is underpinned by the grassiness and tannic structure of 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Graciano. - Decanter Magazine Learn More
  3. Raul Perez Bierzo La Vizcaina La Vitoriana 2016
    WA96
    $33.98
    Availability:In Stock
96 Points!  The vines at La Vitoriana are from a north-facing part of the vineyard and are extremely old, and the grapes show their best between 13% and 13.5% alcohol. The maceration of the 2016 La Vizcaína La Vitoriana is the longest of all wines from La Vizcaína wines, and it always has very strong balsamic notes. It's subtle and elegant with a velvety texture, with lots of energy and inner strength. Pérez selects about half of the vineyard, and he feels 2016 is the year that best represents the character of the place. I'd add it's probably the best vintage so far. - Luis Gutierrez, robertparker.com

  4. Remelluri Rioja Lindes de Remelluri Vinedos de San Vicente 2014
    JS96
Special Price $19.98 Regular Price $32.00
    Availability:In Stock
96 Points!  Some richer, darker and deeper fruit character with plums, blackberries and a dark, earthy streak. The tannins are more upright, more elevated, and the fruit is richer and darker than in the Labastida. This has real presence, grip and energy.  - JamesSuckling.com

  5. La Rioja Alta Rioja Reserva Vina Ardanza 2009
    JS96
    $29.98
    Availability:In Stock
96 Points! Very fresh and vivid 2009 with berries, dark spice and hints of walnuts. Full-bodied, reserved and so held back and muscular, but you don’t feel the tannins and the strength. A great wine. Give it two or three years. Try in 2020.- James Suckling, jamessuckling.com

  6. Olivier Riviere Rioja Blanco Mirando Al Sur 2015
    JS96
    WA93
    $64.98
    Availability:In Stock
93+ Points! It seems like the effect of the Jerez barrels used to age the 2015 Mirando al Sur is weaker each year, so Olivier Rivière decided to not top up the barrels anymore in the 2016 vintage. This is still nutty and spicy, but the "flor" character is subtler, though it increased as the wine sat in the glass in contact with air. This is produced with the same village and the same process as La Bastid (the old Jequitibá), but then it is aged in Sherry butts for 12 months. It has pungent flavors and the dry and chalky texture of both the limestone soils and the Sherry wines.  - Luis Gutierrez, Wine Advocate

  7. Jimenez Landi Las Iruelas El Teimblo Castilla y Leon 2014
    JS95
    WA96
    $74.98
    Availability:In Stock
96 Points!  The single-vineyard Garnacha 2014 Las Iruelas was produced with grapes from a 1.5-hectare plot of old vines in the village of El Tiemblo in the province of Ávila within the geographical zone of the Gredos Mountains at some 1,000 meters altitude. This is always a perfumed, open, showy, heady and aromatic wine. The palate is super elegant, with very fine tannins and also dusty, with some herbal notes that add freshness. This is always an ethereal wine, with great freshness, fluid and long, certainly lifted by the subdued minerality. 964 bottles were filled in June 2016. Not all the grapes from the vineyard are used for the wine, and there was a severe selection because they got some hail. - Luis Gutierrez, Wine Advocate #231

  8. Espectacle Montsant 2013
    WA96
Special Price $109.98 Regular Price $150.00
    Availability:In Stock
96 Points! This pure Garnacha from old vines in the village of La Figuera in Montsant showed a waterfall of red fruit and violets with subtle touches of spices in an elegant way. The palate is pure silk, quite fruit-driven with moderate acidity and silky tannins, but somehow I was expecting a little more tension and spark; I found it a little shy and not as vibrant as one would wish in a vintage like 2013. - Luis Gutierrez, robertparker.com #227

  9. Lustau Palo Cortado Peninsula
    WS92
    WA96
    VM92
    $23.98
    Availability:In Stock
96 Points!  A mind-blowing sherry is the non-vintage Palo Cortado Peninsula Solera Reserva. Like all Lustau sherries except for the East India, it is made from the Palomino varietal. A dry, crisp, full-throttle, intense sherry offering incredibly complex, nutty aromas, it represents a style that falls between the Amontillado and the more oxidized, heavier Oloroso. - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate #202

  10. Lustau East India Solera
    WA96
    $23.98
    Availability:In Stock
96 Points!  The dark amber-hued non-vintage East India Solera is essentially an old Oloroso blended with an old Pedro Ximenez, which gives it a sweet character. It offers more mature notes of maple syrup, brown sugar, spice box, raisin and chocolate beer nuts, and its terrific balancing acidity cuts through the sweetness. This delicious effort is best drunk after the meal.- Robert Paker, Wine Advocate #202

  11. Lustau Moscatel Superior Emilin Sherry
    WA96
    $23.98
    Availability:In Stock
96 Points!  The non-vintage Moscatel Emilin Solera Reserva is the sweetest sherry in this group as well as the easiest to appreciate as it is made from 100% Moscatel...These are all remarkable efforts for their stunning value. While they are still under-the-radar for most American wine lovers, I encourage readers to give them a try as they are great introductory reference points for how profound sherry can be. I first wrote about the extraordinary sherries of Emilio Lustau many years ago, in the early days of The Wine Advocate. The portfolio of under $25 a bottle selections represents remarkable value for their complex, well-made personalities. - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate
